Federal Government Caves to Right Wing Terrorists At Bundy Ranch

Conservatives didn't have any problem with "free speech zones" for Occupy.

Notice how the Conservatives now hate the PATRIOT Act because of big government overreach? Will repealing the USAPATRIOT Act be part of the Republican party platform in 2016?
Is it part of the Democrat platform now? Conservatives have no problem with free speech anywhere, just the bums taking over public and private property in cities. That wasn't a free speech issue. Why does the left consider any actions it wants as free speech but any speech it disagrees with as hateful? Dissent is patriotic, remember? Where are all those bumper stickers now anyway? Was there a well funded organization set up to remove them all?
No, repealing the USAPATRIOT Act is not in the Democratic platform, just as it is not in the Republican party platform. Why is that? The USAPATRIOT Act gave very broad authority to the Federal government, so if anyone wants to limit the powers of the Federal government then we need to repeal the USAPATRIOT Act. Why will it not be repealed? Because it serves both major parties and their controlling interests.

You are not the controlling interests.

Every Republican who has been whining about the big government since 2009 was perfectly fine with everything that the government was doing from 2000-2008. Not only did the right-wing not oppose Bush incrementally implementing the police state, but the right-wing actually applauded big government overreach as "necessary to fight terror".

So either call Bush a traitor the same as you call Obama, or just shut up.
You don't know what you're talking about. Many on the right, especially Libertarians were not on board with the size and scope of Homeland Security. The left went nuts but are virtually silent now even though operations have expanded. Go figure.
Maybe you missed Occupy because you were too busy watching FOX News complain about Occupy. What do you think the gun monkeys just did in Nevada? They "occupied" the territory. If you want to make the case that guns were successful tools in this endeavor, then apply that reasoning to Occupy. Take your hundreds of millions of guns and Occupy the Pentagon. Occupy the NSA. Occupy Congress.

Occupy the White House.

The Bundy ranch was just the beginning, right? How far are you willing to go to protect the rich?

You partisan piece of shit. How are far are you willing to go to protect your freaking rich.

Reid and his son are selling out the desert to the Chinese. The BLM is selling the desert out to many solar companies for big bucks. At least 18 or 19 more than Ivanpah.

Where are you marching against this travesty? This is part of what this fiasco in Nevada is about.

Not about back fees. Not at all. The feds want the cattle gone but not for a debt.

U.S. Senator Reid, son combine for China firm's desert plant

The land was worth up to 38 million and Reid's buddies got it sold to the Chinese company for pennies on the dollar ripping off the American taxpayer big freaking time.

4.5 Million is what they sold the public land for to the Chinese. When you smell dirty deals you are smelling a Reid in the middle of it.

Rory Reid acknowledged representing ENN at both the county and state levels since January. He declined to discuss the project otherwise.

Two months after Harry Reid's China trip, Lionel Sawyer registered ENN Mohave Energy LLC as an American subsidiary of the Chinese company. The firm negotiated with the county to buy the land rather than lease it, as the county's staff had recommended.

In December, Clark County commissioners voted unanimously to sell up to 9,000 acres of public land to the subsidiary at pennies on the dollar.

The deal spurred local controversy. Separate appraisals valued the land at $29.6 million and $38.6 million. The commission agreed to sell it to ENN for $4.5 million.

the only thing that motivates the low-info, xenophobe/nativist, reactionary, repub-voters is the big scary boogeyman- the gov't enforcing the laws. Scary stuff  Sad.

Where's the bullshit? It's the truth. Just as true as the governments game of pay to play energy/environment is.

This is what is going on with renewable energy projects. Not a conspiracy. The government is bloody proud of giving solar companies huge tracts of land to destroy as long as they pay to fix up another area of a state.

Do I want more of what? When did I say that I support the Federal government? When did I say that I support Harry Reid? When did I say that I support Cliven Bundy?

I just suggested that you take your guns and revolt against Obama, so please call me partisan again. Do I actually believe that armed revolution is necessary? No. I know a better way:

Hemp will become one of America's largest energy crops within ten years of legalization, greatly replacing corn for ethanol production, as well as increasing food supplies, while negating imports from China.

There were less than 100 federal agents there including the mercenaries they hired. There were thousands of armed citizens there. The order to cease operations had to be made or all of those federal agents would have been slaughtered. All it would have needed was one gunshot, by anyone and it would have been a bloodbath, with the feds getting the short end.

They'll bring tanks and napalm next time. Whatever it takes to exercise the enforcement of their draconian laws.

As deplorable as the loss of life would have been, the sight of the federal government killing Americans might be necessary to achieve the final break. We are so close now, that the next gunshot would be the second gunshot heard round the world. The US would lose all moral authority and have to negotiate while it is locked in a civil war. Investment would flee an unstable country, the economy would crash into little tiny pieces.

We'd be Syria overnight. Rather, we will be because it probably cannot be avoided at this point.

There's no doubt that we're in a very fragile situation right now. The current ideological war between traditional, Constitution-minded Americans vs. Big Government usurpers with a Globalist/Socialist mindset. Something will give sooner or later.

Our cars are going to run on pot? Is it going to take a couple of bong hits to turn the engine over?

Probably.

Put it puts on display to the nuts that an armed response can be successful.

That's not a good thing.

It is successful which is why we can't allow ourselves to become disarmed

So when the Black Panthers or the Weathermen Underground were shooting cops, that was okay?

Must be to many on the left. They appoint and pay murderers and domestic terrorists, like Kathy Boudin ( who was responsible for killing the first black cop in Waverly, NY) and Bill Ayers, (responsible for bombing the Pentagon, Capitol, and blowing up half a NY City block, resulting in the deaths of 3) to be professors in Colleges. All the while reading about their ever lasting love for bombs and explosives.

The protest for Bundy's ranch was PEACEFUL for years, until the government brought in snipers, guns, as a show of force. I recall those supporting Occupy insisting the government escalated the situation by shows of force and it was the FEDS fault things got ugly because of the feds guns.

Occupy folks actually SUED and won for items they left on federal property while protesting after being told to leave the area. They won 45k for books. Some are still suing and some are still protesting, years later. They were in the news in Denver a few days ago. Should that mean Bundy can sue for any cattle the government may have killed before they released them back to Bundy?

It's funny, I would think those on the left would be supportive to be honest. I don't see this any different from the Occupy Protests. The farmer disagrees with the government and is peacefully protesting by allowing his cattle to continue to graze on public land.

The Occupy Movement protested on public/ federal lands. They were granted rights to stay through court rulings, granted camping permits when such had never been granted before. They were coddled and held up as people to emulate by many on the left.

All told their "peaceful protests" cost taxpayers tens of millions, much due to damage to public lands. They left horrible messes in many places, fecal matter and other bodily fluids, they destroyed a park in Portland among others. They broke into Oakland City Hall, there was a ton of damage in many states.

Heck the protestors ended up suing for lost belongings ( books in one case) when they were told to leave and they won, in one case they won 45 thousand. Some are still suing and some are still protesting, years later. They were in the news in Denver a few days ago.

Occupy cost taxpayers tens of millions and still are through court cases.
Bundy owes 1.1 million.

Occupy - good
Bundy- Bad

Maybe you missed Occupy because you were too busy watching FOX News

Newsflash, the progressive Democrat named Obama labeled Occupy a terrorist movement through the FBI and DHS.

I support Occupy in general.

So here's the dichotomy for you, do you support Occupy, or do you support Obama, to protector and enabler of Too-Big-To-Fail corporate socialism who labeled Occupy a terrorist movement?

They stole half the man's cattle and were about to kill them. Fortunately, there's still some brave Americans out there who are willing to stand up to Big Brother. Big Brother-Worshippers should be ashamed of themselves for supporting this travesty.

I have taken a liking to the name brown shirts for them folks.

C'mon......you're making Nazis look worse than they actually were!

Kelo v. New London.

Yet another example. As I recall, a lot of liberals were siding with Kelo on that one.

There's the ole 'Terrorist' accusation. We knew it was coming. Give em some more time, the Communist Wingnuts will have him down as a 'Crazy Cult Leader' and 'Militia' Boogeyman too. Stay tuned.
