But on the bright side. I get to report those posters who I identify as Un-American. They silently disappear, banned appears next to their names and they turn up in FEMA internment camps within hours

Several years ago, Canada's CTV News aired a short segment about how its own government had been exposed for hiring secret agents to monitor social media and track online conversations, as well as the activities of certain dissenting individuals. This report, which in obvious whitewashing language referred to such activities as the government simply "weighing in and correcting" allegedly false information posted online, basically admitted that the Canadian government had assumed the role of secret online police. At the time, this was a great unknown to the general Canadian public.

Paying someone to troll message boards would be like throwing money out a window.
The majority participants on boards like USMB are usually strong ideologues, maybe passionate ideologues would be a better term. They are on these boards to destroy the other side of the aisle and criticizes the other sides leaders without mercy. No one is going to change anybody's minds. I've been posting on boards like this one since the late 1990s, I have yet to see someone say, "gosh, you've changed my mind". People who post on boards like this don't change their mind, they are here to defend their position to the max.
