1) The Nazis allowed ALL good Aryans - 99% of the population to get guns if they wanted to. Of course, a lot of Germans still had guns left over from WWI, when the German Army more or less disintegrated and no one was collecting those weapons.
The Weimar Republic had tried to ban guns and failed miserably, which is they the Nazis, Communists and other bad actors pulled off a number of attempted putsches and had pitched street battles.
2) Despite the proliferation of guns, not a single German gun owner went out and tried to save a Jewish neighbor from the SS.

Anecdotes aren't proof.His "study" is pure BS, He ignored well known history. One of my friends grandfather was a very rare person with a permit for a pistol because he was a circus owner that had dangerous animals. He was the ONLY non Party member with a permit in the entire region.
