what is the media willing to overlook about both. as a vermonter, i sometimes wish we didn't have such zany politicians. peter welch (our sole congressman) may run for governor, which is what i wish bernie would do.

Not planning to vote. But if ya held a gun to my head and I had to, I'd register as independent and prolly go Republican this time. Hillary isn't desireable. Neither's a suckup Dem pretending to be independent. If Independent run on that ticket, not the Democrat one.

Still liking Rand Paul best. Not perfect, and disagree on some things, but his anti-war non-interventionist thing is especially attractive.

The Democrats and the alleged liberal media have not gotten the memo. This is going to be a rather bitter pill for them to swallow. There are many of us that support Bernie Sanders but it does not follow that we will simply buy whatever any other Democrat is trying to sell. Many of us won't even bother. I'm an independent not a Democrat.

And in the above link you will see how Rep. Luis Gutierrez lost credibility. Any other Dems want to play? Sanders doesn't need to change his message. He has a track record on it. It is the Democrats that need to change their message. Now, they can get serious on policy issues or they can lose their asses. Seems to me they need us a hell of a lot more than we need them.

You are correct that Hillary will turn the full force of negative campaign tactics against him if he becomes an obstacle. When that day comes I truly hope he declares an independent run. She is in a delicate position with the progressives who are probably going to be more difficult to woo than the centrists who normally decide the election. She needs us badly and so far she has done little to convince us.

I'm not so sure that it will all be coming from Hillary. There are many other Democrats that want to maintain the status quo.
