Ottawa to announce bid to replace Sea Kings

OTTAWA - Defence Minister Bill Graham is expected to announce Thursday the military helicopter that will replace the aging and accident-prone Sea Kings.

The choice is between two options: the Sikorsky S-92 built by the U.S.-based Sikorsky Aircraft, and the Cormorant, built by EH Industries of England.

What type of weapons does it sport?

It's a transport chooper, for equipment and troops. It's actually a civilian model. So, off the assembly line it doesn't have any armament, but I'd imagine they could mount a forward cannon and maybe a couple machine guns on it.
