N. Korea wanted nuclear weapons when Clinton was in office............any deal they signed was a lie to that goal.............they never had any intentions of stopping that goal so the agreement with Clinton was Stupid.

It didn't stop Jack Squat...........and the deal with Iran will not stop Jack Squat. Iran has every intention to follow the path of N. Korea.........lie their asses off if it advances that goal.

The Clinton/Carter deal was like putting their nuclear program in a box. The deal handicapped North Koreas nuclear progrm akin to putting a 200 lb leg-iron onto a guy running the Bosto marahon. It wouldn't stop him from reaching the finish line, but it would take him a long, long, long time

MORE bullshit from the ill-informed.........The deal of 1994 was a decent one until 2002-3 the war hawks broke OUR end of the bargain. During those 8 plus years, NK was willing to forestall their nuclear ambitions.

As Ive stated before, there is NOTHING that will stop another country with capabilities, to pursue nukes...NOTHING.
We can only forestall the inevitable and hope that with diplomacy in the interim, that nation joins the sanity of other nuclear countries.

Every president has tried to keep NK from obtaining nukes. Clinton was no different.

If you want to be current, you need to understand just how difficult this has been. It's not any one president's fault. They've all failed.

Case in point. Diplomacy has been rendered moot. The reason for using it has passed. They have nukes, they have miniaturized nukes, and they are threatening other countries with them, including us! The time for speaking softly has passed, it is time to pick up the big stick.

Unfortunately Trump's hands are far too tiny for such a stick. He'll have to stick with the twitter threats.
