As I have said this truly stinks from both ends. Of course he lied. Of course he admitted, not only on a signed plea but standing tall supposedly taking responsibility and verbally attesting in court. Justice was drug under the swamp of time, partisanship, and public opinion toward Generals. Should have sentenced the next week and trump pardon the day after the door slammed shut. His name will not be cleared in the public mind. It can be and is an ugly process. True BS, and executive influence, questionable tactics, mis-steps, possible deception, hell, justice even put part of the filing of the motion to dismiss under the wrong lawyer, who apparently doesn't want their name associated to it. Stinks to high heaven. Judge needs to weigh in, rule on the motion and quit dicking around.
