Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis To Sign Bill Banning Social Media ‘Deplatforming’

Twitter and Facebook should open or buy a theme park in Florida b/c doing so grants you a special exemption from the bill.

Mark Zuckerburg's "Nazi World," Opening in Orlando in 2023. New theme song for the theme park "Let's send them all to the showers." Der Juden, the white people, not allowed!

The pedos should form a pedoparty,

They already did, it's called "the democrats."

so they can sue under Florida for banning political pedospeech.

Oh wait, that's not necessary. We already have the GOP. That was probably the ultimate intent of the law.

Joe Biden
Bill Clinton
Jeff Epstien
Bill Gates
Anthony Weiner
Mel Reynolds
Joe Morrissey
Gerry Studds
Anthony Silva

Oh sorry, you were lying?

I hope it won't but this is Florida.

The state with a Supreme Court that ruled that Fox News has a first amendment right to lie and fire employees who refuse to lie.

You've never read the 1st Amendment, nor in fact any part the American Constitution.

In all fairness, I've never read your constitution either - assuming China has a constitution.

It's a first amendment violation no matter who it's aimed at.

That's the difference between you and me, I can see that. You can't.

Uh, no dumbfuck.

{ Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; }

Did the Florida law pull a Gavin Newsom and use the full weight of the government to prohibit Christianity?

Nope

{ or abridging the freedom of speech, }

Does fining the tech fascists for campaign finance violations stop them from publishing what they like?

Nope

{ or of the press; }

Ah, here is the crux. The tech fascists have spent billions buying judges and vermin in congress to say they are NOT the press, they are NOT publishers, and hence are not responsible for the content they control and publish in their publications.

{ or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. }

Nope.

This is no doubt the first time you have ever been exposed to the 1st Amendment to the United States Constitution.

You are a troll, you get your daily script from Beijing and vomit it here.

republicans strike again. Now they are taking first amendment rights from social media.

They are regulating the internet. And violating the first amendment to do it. They are also violating section 230 of the communications decency act.

What happened to their screaming that business owners have the right to decide who they serve or do business with? That was a lie too.

They are showing that their hate for regulations was all a lie. They love regulating business just not in a responsible way.

Their beliefs are of convenience not real beliefs.

Social media has become more powerful than government. That’s a problem
USMB Rules!

When USMB goes public the mods are going to make billions!

USMB already dwarfs Google and Facebook
yeah,, like what do we have 200 active members??

one political POV is not being treated the same as the other,, and its effecting elections,,
Wrong.

All political points of view are being treated the same.

Participants who violate a platform’s terms of use are subject to removal, which is perfectly appropriate for private social media.

As the Supreme Court held in Citizens United, private entities have the right to participate in political discourse, to advocate for political positions, free from regulation by government.
your premise is a lie,,

its a public platform not a public publisher,, and they are not applying their own rules equally,,
Wrong.

Social media are a private platform and a private publisher, at liberty to apply their rules as they see fit.

If conservatives believe those rules are ‘unfair’ the solution is for conservatives to refuse to participate, not use the power and authority of government to violate social medias’ First Amendment rights.

One political POV is resorting to misinformation and and conspiracy theories

They are being held to the same standard as the Democrats
Tell the truth

The owners of USMB are among the wealthiest in the world. That is why mods are paid so well.

Don’t need one, just visit USMB HQ complex and you can see how wealthy they are

So you go from the first claiming it's not for corporations and get shot in one butt cheek and now you're trying for the other?

OK
When you sign up for a membership you agree to a ToS.
The ToS is politically neutral.
when you violate the ToS the company has every right to remove your content and even cancel your account.
they didn't cancel your account because of your race, nor because of your religion, or your politics.

THEY CANCELLED YOUR ACCONT BECAUSE YOU VIOLATED THE TERMS OF THE CONTRACT TO WHICH YOU AGREED.

Now, please describe how this fits into any remote discussion of "equal protection."

We'll be waiting for your Rudy-Like mastering of the law.

Simple, because when the tech fascists apply their TOS they do so based on race and political affiliation.

Twitter is not a public access platform, they are a publisher, a mouth piece of the democrat part and are liable for ALL the content they publish.

If they are a publisher then they are not protected under section 230.

You grasp that they have spent BILLIONS to claim they are NOT publishers, you drooling fucking moron? :lmao:

"There's already a solution to deplatforming candidates on social media: Stop trafficking in conspiracy theories. That's the solution. Stop pushing misinformation if you're a candidate or an incumbent elected official. Stop retweeting QAnon. Stop lying on social media," Smith said.
Of course. Translated it simply means, "Say things we approve of and we'll let you stay. Say things we don't and we'll kick you off". Legal or not, it's exclusionary and reflects the left's obsession with controlling speech.

It's not legal, but the tech fascists are more powerful than the government and own 90% of the government, so laws mean nothing.

Yes, social media platforms can legally create safe spaces for fragile snowflakes where they don't have to hear opposing viewpoints, much like their college experience was. Of course, since they can't avoid real life forever, they'll need a virtual playroom where they can color pictures and read soothing Party slogans until they feel better. Legal, but a sad commentary on modern society.

The owners of the platform.

Derp.

Even for you, that's just fucking stupid.

I know you're just a troll reading a script given to you by your handlers, but good Buddha that's fucking stupid.

"If I can't silence others, it's a restriction on my speech."

Do you EVER think? Just to see what it's like?
