The truth is the last time we had higher taxes under Clinton we ran a surplus. Corporations and the rich only have to target 1 or 2 Democratic senators to kill equity because ALL the republicans are complicit. If there was 1-2 Republicans with a spine we wouldn’t need 100% of Democrats to agree.

For one, you are wrong. The last time they increased taxes on the wealthy was during DumBama, the guy who gave us the slowest recovery since WWII. Two, Clinton also took Newts advice and decreased taxes on capital gains. Not that it mattered either way since he presided during the tech bubble and Daffy Duck could have been in the White House and had a great economy.

The Republican party has way more back stabbers than the Democrat party, that's why a tax or minimum wage bill could easily pass. But again, they know what it would do to the economy so when they're out of power, they will once again be crying about taxes and the minimum wage. It's all political theater for people like you. Thinking that taking money from people and giving it to government creates a good economy defies common sense. If you lost your job and had to take another one for $500.00 less a month, would that inspire you to spend more?

Easy. Raise the top income bracket back to Clinton prosperity years along with corporate taxes back to that level too. Would raise my income taxes but that where the money should come from. That's the trouble with voters who vote for people such as AOC, Bernie, etc. Somehow the voters believe these people champion for the little guy. Meanwhile, Bernie owns two expensive homes and AOC has become a millionaire and now doesn't have to fly with the little guy anymore. Left isn’t about everyone being a poor communist. You have that wrong. The US Constitution taxes our representatives with the protection of this country. That means no matter what the cost, we need to spend whatever money for our defense. China is advancing more and more every day. They now have a supersonic missile we don't have.

The Constitution does not require us to spend millions on the Kennedy Center, the Arts, bridges that they want to spend millions on because the left feels some bridges are racist. Now if we quit spending our money on junk like making the country green, we'd have more than enough for our military and new technology.
