You are immune to facts. Methane is a greenhouse gas. That is a fact.

Natural gas trapped deep underground is not escaping into the atmosphere. Fracking releases it.

The linked study does present REAL evidence. Scientists are speaking up.

The Scientific American article you posted PROMISED "infrared videos" of fracking sites leaking methane. MAYBE -- someone told them that's NOT what was depicted in the video and the sponsor site took it down to avoid embarrassment..

Ya gotta ask yourself --- how does cold gas leaking from the earth's crust have ANY KIND of unique infrared signature? But then again -- you wouldn't even think of asking yourself that -- would Ya?

There are so many contradictions and hypocrital assertions in "modern" environmentalism, you certainly should be more skeptical about hitting the bait on every one of them..

I too am a Libertarian and an ARDENT environmentalist.. I've got a career in science and engineering to analyze some of this horseshit.. And it's my favorite pasttime..
