France's Nationalist party gains support as ruling Socialists lose support

Now if they can kick the swarming Muslims out of France they may have a chance to survive as a nation.

Marine Le Pen has done a good job of distancing herself from her father, Jean-Marie Le Pen. We'll see how well.

Things are looking up in France. If the Front National party keeps gaining momentum, they'll have a good chance to topple Hollande and his far left government. Marine Le Pen would make a good President. She is pro-Life and pro-traditional marriage.

The last time the Le Pen's party made it past the first round, they lost 79-21 in the popular vote.

Most people don't like odious racists.

No offense, but you are totally clueless.

I don't know, the polls usually don't lie.

First off, Marine Le Pen is not a racist, far from it. Also, don't forget that the French previously elected a right wing government under Sarkozy. There is a very real possibility that they'll elect another right wing government under Le Pen.

Right now in the polls, Le Pen is ahead of the competition.

France's far-right National Front party dealt a major blow to the ruling Socialists Sunday after several of its candidates took prime position in the first round of local elections.

The main centre-right opposition UMP party also hailed a "big victory" as initial estimates showed it came out trumps in the elections, as President Francois Hollande suffers record unpopularity against a backdrop of near-zero growth and high unemployment.

We only have her word that she's different than her father.

Prosecution concerning Holocaust denial[edit]
Le Pen has made several provocative statements concerning the Holocaust which have been interpreted by the legal system as constituting Holocaust denial. He has been convicted of racism or inciting racial hatred at least six times.[10] Thus, on 13 September 1987 he said, "I ask myself several questions. I'm not saying the gas chambers didn't exist. I haven't seen them myself. I haven't particularly studied the question. But I believe it's just a detail in the history of World War II." He was condemned under the Gayssot Act to pay 1.2 million francs (183,200 euros).[21]
In 1997, the European Parliament, of which Le Pen was then a member, removed his parliamentary immunity so that Le Pen could be tried by a German court for comments he made at a December 1996 press conference before the German Republikaner party. Echoing his 1987 remarks in France, Le Pen stated: "If you take a 1,000-page book on World War II, the concentration camps take up only two pages and the gas chambers 10 to 15 lines. This is what one calls a detail." In June 1999, a Munich court found this statement to be "minimizing the Holocaust, which caused the deaths of six million Jews," and convicted and fined Le Pen for his remarks.[22]

Sarkozy and Le Pen are not the same. The conservatives and the socialists have often banded together in local elections to defeat the National Front.

And these are local elections, which are used as protest votes to an extent. Hollande sucks, but the Socialists still won 43% compared to 7% for the FN, although the FN ran in far fewer races and gained in the vote.

Marine is a Kosher Nationalist as I like to call them. She didn't need to tone down the rhetoric of her father but she did anyways and now she will be a watered down version of a true nationalist.
