Fact.. I live in an area prone to hurricanes and what you just said is an absolute FACT. My parents could not get back on the island where we live after Hurricane Fran for nearly 6 months, or should I say come back to live. They had to wait nearly 2 weeks and come over on a Humvee to see their property. If it weren't for family, they would have lived in hotels for 6 months and that expense fell on them until their insurance claim was processed- months later after all the damage was inspected and claim adjusters came out. It's a very long and drawn out process. Liberals want to politicize and tear down anything that has an (R) by it.. it's become their game.. the politics of personal destruction.. They're sooo addicted to it that even today, Harry Reid ALREADY promised Mitt Romney that should he win this election, he will get NO cooperation from the senate democrats.

it took Bush just under 3 weeks to get any sort of substantial National guard numbers at ground zero. Obama had National guard men an women on site with in hours of the storms passing.


this is one example of the Govt doing good by its own people. This fact scares the fuck out of the Republican party.

My daughter and her family are victims of this storm. They have yet to see the National Guard, NYPD, NYFD, FEMA, Red Cross or any agencies in Broad Channel NY, where 20 homes burned and all the homes there were flooded out many totally destroyed. They have no shelter, or food. Oblamer got his photo-op in Jersey and took off and FEMA is really nowhere to be found. I've told her to come stay with us, yet I live over 200 miles from her and she says both her she says she needs to go to work on Monday. My daughter is lucky enough to be able to have found shelter with family but for how long?

Wow, some of you republicans are really dishonest and desperate. I guess that you have been listening to that pig limbaugh or the other pig hannity. They both seem very gleeful that people are having a hard time logistically. We have a republican and conservative talk show host here named Dave Parker, he has a friend who is a NYC detective who was on site and lost friends during 9-11 and saw the damage, the detective is from Staten Island and he stated that we are not even seeing a small percentage of the actual destruction in Staten Island, Long Island, and the surrounding areas. He said that it's 100 times worse than 9-11. The pigs using this as a DESPERATE and DISHONEST attack against the President should be ashamed of themselves if they still have an ounce of decency. I hope independent people and decent republicans see these assholes for what they are. At one time Governor Christie was the darling of the RNC, he was a keynote speaker at the convention. Just because he told the truth about the President, he is now vilified by the dishonest republican hacks. Now they are going to insult Mayor Bloomberg for his endorsement of President Obama. Pretty predictable and pretty sad. At least the Libertarian candidate has class and talks about real issues:

Experiencing this from the inside things are going as best they can. I lose power everyday and have to clear 4 40-50 foot (12-15M) trees so far. However, I am very fortunate that I have the wherewithal to do so. There was a buck at my living room window looking in yesterday (that was cool).
