GA Special Election: Complete, Utter, and total failure of Liberalism

Georgia 6th District (Runoff) - Live Results

48% Reporting
Candidate Votes Percent
Handel (R) 94,737 52.6
Ossoff (D) 85,431 47.4

Long way to go, but looking good for Handel.

WOOT! Handel is up by 5.2%!

but according to the fai;ing NY Times.....Ossoff still has "paths to victory".

They love stringing along their audience.

I keep watching the map on the NYT's website of the district and it keeps getting redder and redder in areas that were very blue an hour ago AND they are saying Handel is OUT PERFORMING the GOP's own models.

The NYT says this is a referendum on Trumps first few months. Do most agree?

Instead of running on an "I Love Pelosi and Progressives Platform", Jon Ossoff (D) has borrowed a page from Obama and is sounding like a fiscal Conservative and political Moderate. If Liberalism is a success, why is he running as a Republican?

"Local economic development and cutting wasteful government spending are Ossoff's talking points in a race against Republican Karen Handel that has shattered records as the most expensive congressional contest in U.S. history. Polls show it is headed for a tight finish in Tuesday's special election."

Do you have any doubt that if he's elected he'll vote 100% Liberal/Socialist? Why isn't he running on a Progressive platform?

In House race in Georgia, Democrats look for new path to power

Progs always have to lie their asses off for an election. The fake compassion for the poor, the phony outrage over corporate bailouts and lobbyists, their "tough" stance on security. It's all a steaming pile of shit.

WOOT WOOT! CNN just called it for Handel! WOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!! 4 for 4 in special elections fuckers! SUCK IT!

It's a podunk district in a podunk state.

Meaningless.

Well....unless you have absolutely no life......or live in the district (same thing!).

I wonder why the liberal media believes it is a referendum?

Handel, a racist white supremacist who wants voter ID laws, won Fulton County, which has a lot of black votes. she's gonna win.

now for the bad news for the GOP. the Republican/Trump candidate in South Carolina who was favorite to easily win is tied.

The South Carolina race is just fine. That was the district I lived in before I moved to Las Vegas. It is safely Republican

it was closer than it was supposed to be. not a good sign for 2018.

dana perino, who's wrong on everything, predicted the GOP will gain senate seats, another not good sign for 2018.

and who wouldn't move from south carolina to las vegas?

Special elections typically tend to be closer than the general, so it doesn't really mean all that much. As far as the midterm elections go, the Democrats probably will gain seats as the party not in the White House usually does better

All of the special elections have the Dems doing much better than six months ago.

Which again, is not unusual. Maybe it means something, but I don't think it really does. Special elections have abysmal turn out and it's usually just the party faithful who come out to vote on both sides. The Democrats may have been able to motivate some of their voters to come out for Ossoff who normally wouldn't have bothered, which probably explains the closer numbers, plus Handel wasn't the greatest candidate either, but I don't think it signifies any long term trend. Case and point, Scott Brown won a special election in a state far more partisan against him than Ossoff was facing in this district and yet, Ossoff still failed to get the win.

Agree. A "moderate" LOL! Worried about size of GOVT, spending and Taxes suddenly. right. But they all vote 100% against American success when they get in. More freebies......maybe I can stay forever! pay is great!

Like a moderate muslim....Does NOT exist. Just muslims not yet called to duty. Trust me on that.

LOL, really? This is suburban Atlanta which is one of the biggest economic hubs in the country and has a wide swath of middle class and upper income residents. This is hardly a podunk district. It's very representative of middle class America.
