Garbage in Indian Ocean makes plane search difficult

its disgusting what humans have nonchalantly done to our oceans. Throw-away society soiling our own nest.

As a kid at the Jersey shore in the 70's, I remember the beaches being closed due to medical waste disposal, like syringes, washing up. They used to barge garbage out of NYC/Northern New Jersey and dump it into the Atlantic.

It isn't dumped garbage in the Indian ocean, it's stuff that came off boats.

So, what? All that trash just jumps off by itself?

Or is it maybe DUMPED?

Some of this, according to what I have read, are remnants from the Tsunami in Japan a few years ago, Can you imagine the tons of debris that were washed into the ocean?

That waste was dumped illegally. What was legally dumped prior to the 90's was sewage sludge, and that was dumped 106 miles out.
