A wave of political correct outrage rolls through Germany, since Birgit Schrowange, a TV Moderator of Germany´s first privately owned TV Network RTL showed up in her broadcast "Extra" with an Iron Cross. Well, the German Ministry of Defense reacted, criticized the single-sided interweaving of Iron Cross and the National Socialism. The Ministry wrote to Schrowange that the Iron Cross has a major meaning for the German Army as national symbol.

Schrowange said, she couldn´t understand why there should be outrage. She said, she did not realize there was an Iron Cross and that she has more important things to do than taking care about that...

Yes, we all have more important things to do than getting our shirts out over our own national symbols.

After zooming in on the image in the OP I'm surprised it's the Iron Cross that got the attention, the thing to the right of the IC looks suspiciously like a skull overlaying a concealed swastika.

I cannot find a skull or a swastika.

Then it's official, there's nothing of any interest at all in the OP. Unsub.
Don´t try to scroll with an Iron Cross through Berlin. You could wake up in a hospital...

You're an Idiot. . :cuckoo:

The Iron Cross was a national symbol of Germany long before Hitler was born or Nazism was a political party.

And is still the national symbol of todays Germany.

It can be found on all German aircraft and other military hardware. .

True, but that does not change what I said. During soccer Europe/World championships you can not even be sure your Germany flag on your car will not be replaced by a warning notice against nationalism.
And if you have an Iron Cross, you will be considered Nazi, not patriot, and they will hunt and bludgeon you. But this an inside Germany phenomenon.

Germany was giving out IRON CROSSES before National Socialism was even thought of.

Not happy Dale!

A flag, a swastika, an uproar: Nazi flag spurs anger, debate in Elkhart apartment complex

That red, black and white flag — the same as used in Hitler’s Germany — was hard to miss for those living around him who saw it. It’s hard not to talk when it’s right there. And the calls came in. Walnut Trails reps won’t go on the record, but the phone rang, people complained. The callers weren’t happy.

Iron Cross?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Cross

The Iron Cross (German: Eisernes Kreuz (help·info)) is a cross symbol typically in black with a white or silver outline that originated after 1219 when the Kingdom of Jerusalem granted the Teutonic Order the right to combine the Teutonic Black Cross placed above a silver Cross of Jerusalem.[1]

The military decoration called the Iron Cross which existed in the Kingdom of Prussia, and later in the German Empire and Third Reich, was established by King Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia and first awarded on the 10th of March in 1813 during the Napoleonic Wars. The recommissioned Iron Cross was also awarded during the Franco-Prussian War, World War I, and World War II.

Anything that decorated the Nazi genociding butchers' uniforms must be abolished, never to be seen again, or Germany stands condemned.
Iron Cross, Swaztika, any other medals/symbols, all must disappear.

Germany has changed its national anthem into a hymn...now it needs to take the final step, to demonstrate that it has really changed.

Forget the Iron Cross, she should be gassed and cremated for wearing a hideous necklace in general. Gad, what a wonky clunk of mess.

You dare to stain our national dignity?

After what Germany did, it lost all right to have national dignity.
Germany stained its own soul.

Anyway, there shouldn't even be a Germany [or Japan]...it should've been taken over by the Allies after WW2, owned forevermore by them, and given a new identity.

If we would rate countries by what thy did wrong only, which ones would keep their right to have national dignity?
