Getting around the forceful ads on USMB

Ads? What ads? I've never seen a single ad on this forum? It is one of the things I really like about it.
But remember, it does cost money to run a forum. In some cases a couple hundred a month. Without ads or donations who pays the bills?
When you click on ads the forums gets a dime or two.

Not to mention us paid posters..

Wait....you get PAID to post? With almost 90,000 posts you should be doing pretty good in that case !

They very well may have figured out that the ad revenue will exceed what they are not going to get from people like me who won't ever contribute a penny toward a site that blocks their own content in favor of forcing browser-crashing ads in front of my face. I have contributed nicely to several boards, but I never had to restart my device every few posts just to be there.
