Gilligans Island -- I have questions!!

it would have all kinds of visitors.

It did...there was a new visitor almost every episode...and gilligan (or more often the professor) would fuck it up.

Remember lord beasley chasing the butterfly? Or the frump of a woman who ended up looking just like ginger? How about that native king who wanted gilligan to marry his massive daughter? :D

Don't forget the Mosquitos, the rock band.

I have QUESTIONS!!!!

1. Why couldn't they be found? Don't boats and ships have beacons on them or location devices?
2. WHY were two millionaires on a private "for hire" tour boat instead of their own yacht??
3. Why did two millionaires bring several trunks of clothes for a 3 hour tour???
4. Why was a movie star wearing a sequined gown on a boat tour?
5. Why weren't all the smoke from the fires they made for heat and cooking ever seen by fishermen, cruise ships, or naval vessels?
6. If they were close enough to get a clear radio signal on that small transistor radio, SOMEBODY HAD to have seen them from one of the other islands or flying over, or crusing by.
7. How did their clothes stay so fresh and new?
8. Where did all the other clothes they wore come from?
9. WHY would a professor bring his LAB EQUIPMENT on a 3 hour cruise?
10. WHY was Maryanne SO FREEKING ADORABLE????

1. Why couldn't they be found?
They were found almost weekly. Then lost again usually due to Gilligan.

Don't boats and ships have beacons on them or location devices?
Gilligan destroyed their transmitter and flare guns.

2. WHY were two millionaires on a private "for hire" tour boat instead of their own yacht??
Because taking a cruise on a mere 30 foot boat seemed excellent cover for the millions of dollars of money and jewels they carried around with them?

3. Why did two millionaires bring several trunks of clothes for a 3 hour tour???
In case of bad weather or in case they ran into the Prince of Wales.

4. Why was a movie star wearing a sequined gown on a boat tour?
It wasn't already hot enough for her in Honolulu.

5. Why weren't all the smoke from the fires they made for heat and cooking ever seen by fishermen, cruise ships, or naval vessels?
Apparently they landed on the one island most far off the regular shipping routes.

6. If they were close enough to get a clear radio signal on that small transistor radio, SOMEBODY HAD to have seen them from one of the other islands or flying over, or crusing by.
All the islands around them were either deserted or had primitive tribes on them.

7. How did their clothes stay so fresh and new?
The Professor whipped up some really gentle surfactants from the coconuts and Mary Ann was a seamstress back in Kansas.

8. Where did all the other clothes they wore come from?
They manufactured their own textiles and dyes and the Professor made sewing machines from bamboo and porcupine quills.

9. WHY would a professor bring his LAB EQUIPMENT on a 3 hour cruise?
Don't forget his library of science books!

10. WHY was Maryanne SO FREEKING ADORABLE????
She actually beat out Rachel Welsh for the role. Honest. Maryann gave me pimples, hair in wrong places and frequently torn pants as a boy.
