Global Warming Alert: UK Blasted By Heatwave- Up to 84F

13 degrees F above their normal average temperature. How will the Brits survive? This is worse than the Blitz!

Meanwhile, like most Americans, I live in a Continental climate. Average temp variations from about 5 degrees F to about 92 F. Extremes: -20 F to 100 F.

The UK just doesn't experience extremes like that. It rains there; they call that "unexpected weather".

Try blizzards and tornadoes.

What's the problem? Just turn on the AC if its a bit warm for you

Most houses were built without it as it was never necessary in the past.

My mom ran into this same problem. When they retired 20 or so years ago my mom and her husband bought land in the foot hills of the Smoky mountains and had a house built. They did not bother with AC as it was not necessary as it did not get warm enough.

Fast forward 20 years and the climate has changed enough that it is no pretty much essential.
