GOP congressman apologises for claiming he was a trained economist – after taking one class in which he got a C

You're complaining about some low level GOP Congressman and the guy in the Whitehouse "misspeaks" on the regular and you dont care. His "embellishments" are so well known it's like people dont even notice them anymore. Even when he's told the things he's saying aren't true he keeps repeating them. How many times did he tell the "you couldnt own a cannon" story?

Yet another GOP liar. The GOP needs to look at its recruitment systems.
Over here we have this tool called Google. It gives you loads of info and enables you to check out when people are lying to you.

Still, nobody died and no puppies were stolen.

Its not like he claimed to have graduated at the top of his class, with honors, and 3 degrees...

Exact number is irrelevant. It was a lie. I have no idea why people defend lies.

Was it a lie or was it ignorance? Did Obama know that the insurance companies would do what they did?

Why did people lose their insurance? Did the law take it away from them?

I think the ACA is an awful law, more due to what it did to hospitals than anything, but still the insurance companies hold some of the blame for people losing their insurance.

It's different when Trump does it. It just is.

Trump certainly took it to another level but even before that I noted that it would get worse when one refuses to call their guy out for lies.

Was it a lie or was it ignorance?

It was a lie. Even then you are arguing that Obama remained ignorant concerning his signature law and what was going on. That's the lame excuses Trump supporters used.

Of course they do. They wrote the law.

They worked directly with the insurance companies to write the law didnt they?

The problem with the world today is primarily accountability. We argued on this forum when dozens of "expert" economists signed a letter claimining that injecting trillions of dollars into the U.S exonomy wouldn't impact inflation. We are living in another dimension, truth doesn't matter anymore. Character is in short supply.
