Looks like only four fingers on that front sight. Maybe you placed it to far ahead of the rifle.

LOL, reminds me of range time in boot camp with an M-14. We put a dot of nail polish on the front site to indicate if it had moved. Final inspection, I scrubbed and scrubbed and could not get one pin point of red off for the inspection. The inspecting officer caught it and asked me if I could see it. I said "No Sir!" He went ape shit--"YOU CAN'T SEE THAT?" "No Sir!" Never heard another word about it.
