Government Is Storing 1.2 Billion Pounds of Cheese

That was a thoroughly fascinating article. I will do my part to help end the cheese glut!

The govt stores quite a few things ... Remember when the RWNJs learned about all that ammo and, OMG, all those zillions of coffins and hells bells, that shitty cheese never ever goes bad.

REMEMBER JADE HELM AND DON'T GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's 39 pounds for every man, woman, and child in America.
Why?
Because they can.
Reason #48,483 why Americans are sick of DC insiders and want the size of government to be smaller.

America can’t eat its way out of this massive cheese problem

"What’s more, the U.S. government has a long-standing pro-cheese-eating policy, which grew out of the need to do something with the subsidized excess of milk products generated by federal pro-production dairy policy — which, in turn, has persisted for decades despite declining consumer interest in drinking milk."

In theory, dairy farms are protected by a subsidized insurance program in the 2014 Farm Bill. In practice, don’t be surprised to see dairy lobbyists run to Congress for new aid if the shakeout gets bad enough.

Ah, socialism. The good kind, corporate.

The great depression taught Americans to think ahead, having lived through that my grand parents had no less than 1 years supply of food on hand.

I'm trying to figure out how commercial storage equates to government storage. :dunno:

Good catch.

Note to Weatherman2020 If you still believe King Trumpery wants "smaller govt", you need to pay just a bit more attention.
