Like I said, if you don't count the number of Americans being out of the job force the highest it has been in 38 years, the highest number of Americans on welfare / food stamps in years, the average income mean in the US going down under Obama, millions added to the number of poor in this country....yeah, other than all THAT - Way To Go, Obama!

Unemployment is a lagging indicator. Always has been, always will be. One of the laggiest.

Here's an idea. Let's ignore the biggest economic crash since the Depression and blame the Mexicans again. It's that time of the month for you womenfolk.

Granted, if you ignore more Americans being out of the workforce (so frustrated at not finding a job that they have given up looking) than in the last 38 years, you can accept a WH-touted 4.4% unemployment rate. What they do NOT mention is the 9.2% unemployment rate for blacks.

Remember how Obama promised the STIMULUS bill would NOT allow unemployment to clime above 8% (before it rose to 10.1%)?! Yeah, sorry blacks...that promises from Obama was only for 'Whitey'...you guys don't count. Liberals want to keep all ya'll down on the economic plantation handing over your votes in exchange for 'free' hand-outs designed to keep you poor, dependent, and addicted to the government for your survival!

Hey Latinos, don't feel left out - according to CNN your unemployment rate is 6.3%, but job growth for Hispanics is greater than it is for whites...or, of course, blacks.

The FAILED Stimulus bill cost nearly $1 trillion, contained over 7,000 pieces of self-party-serving DNC-ONLY pork that paid for such 'crucial' things like:
- A 'Loan' for millions to Feinstein's husband to bail out his bankrupting business
- Millions to teach alcoholic Chinese prostitutes how to drink more responsibly on duty
- Millions to study how the sex life of a gay Argentinian male was better than that of a heterosexual American male

..contained NOTHING for the deteriorating infrastructure the Libs are NOW all whining about...and Obama had to admit that the millions for 'shovel-ready' projects did not exist...

...FAILED to keep unemployment down below 8% as promised (it rose to 10.1%)

...and it ended up costing Americans OVER $742,000 PER JOB Obama CLAIMED to have created / saved (even though businesses came out and exposed Obama's number 'fudging', pointing out Obama claimed to have saved more jobs for example, than one company had employees!

Obama was inaugurated as the economy was losing jobs (in fact, nearly 800,000 jobs were lost the month he was inaugurated). Within a few months, we see the job losses level out and even slightly recover.



Reagan was inaugurated as the economy was gaining jobs. Within a few months, we see this trend reverse, and job losses would continue beyond the period being measured.




In comparing unemployment rates, it looks like this (note the unemployment rates change after Obama and Reagan’s policies).


Fiscal conservatives are also fond of reciting Reagan’s tax cuts and how they grew the economy. The problem with this is that the “growth” is virtually indistinguishable with a typical economic recovery phase of a business cycle. This ‘growth’ is also dwarfed by the growth that preceded Clinton’s raising taxes on the top income earners (important to keep in mind considering conservatives are arguing against Obama’s pledge to allow the Bush tax cuts on the top earners to expire). The Clinton-era growth goes well beyond a typical recovery. It was true economic growth that grew even a fully employed economy. Raising taxes on the top earners apparently didn't prevent economic growth.
