Great News...FOR WHITES: Unemployment '4.4%'; Blacks: 9.2%

The prostitutes were fine...Obviously Obama needed to spend our tax money on PO$, useless washed up ex-NBA starts addicted to alcohol, drugs, reality-tv, and prostitutes instead of trying to rehabilitate Chinese hookers.

Multiple Posts have asked "What can the GOP do for ME / Blacks?" They can do better than LYING to and IGNORING blacks while the unemployment rate sails up to 9.2%!

Granted, if you ignore more Americans being out of the workforce (so frustrated at not finding a job that they have given up looking) than in the last 38 years, you can accept a WH-touted 4.4% unemployment rate. What they do NOT mention is the 9.2% unemployment rate for blacks.

Remember how Obama promised the STIMULUS bill would NOT allow unemployment to clime above 8% (before it rose to 10.1%)?! Yeah, sorry blacks...that promises from Obama was only for 'Whitey'...you guys don't count. Liberals want to keep all ya'll down on the economic plantation handing over your votes in exchange for 'free' hand-outs designed to keep you poor, dependent, and addicted to the government for your survival!

Hey Latinos, don't feel left out - according to CNN your unemployment rate is 6.3%, but job growth for Hispanics is greater than it is for whites...or, of course, blacks.

LINK: Black Unemployment Rate: 9.2%, More Than Double White Unemployment of 4.4%

Pay attention:

Black unemployment rate falls to lowest in 7 years

Could we also address yet another underlying cause? If an employer hires a Black person, he is apt to find himself opened up to a racial discrimination lawsuit filed by his Black employee.

Could we also bring up yet another underlying cause? If an employer hires a Black person to fill a job opening, he/she opens themselves up for a racial discrimination lawsuit down the road. If an employer hires a female, he/she opens themselves up for a sexual harassment lawsuit further down the road. Small wonder why so many employers opt to hire a white male over a Black or a female. Lawsuits are expensive and time consuming.

That does not count the people that have just given up on finding a job, very socialist like...

Robust U.S. jobs report bolsters case for December rate hike

BROAD-BASED GAINS

Economists had forecast nonfarm payrolls increasing 180,000 last month and the unemployment rate remaining at 5.1 percent. In addition to the unexpectedly stronger job gains last month, data for August and September were revised to show 12,000 more jobs created than previously reported.

The report bolstered views that economic growth will regain momentum in the fourth quarter after braking sharply to a 1.5 percent annual pace in the July-September period.

Last month's rise in wages, which have been almost stagnant despite a tightening labor market, lifted the year-on-year reading to 2.5 percent. That was the biggest increase since July 2009 and could give the Fed confidence that inflation will gradually move towards its 2 percent target.

The democrats only need blacks on election day every two years…..they give them government welfare….what else do they really need….right? According to the democrats…right?
You all are on your knees 24/7/365 servicing Koch

Those numbers never count people that are not participating in them... Simple as that.

Why should they?

Obama says the economy is booming under his leadership, fantastic then the left will stop bitching about the rich, corporations, wealth inequality, no need to increase taxes, Obama fixed it thanks Bro!

Unemployed: "without a paid job but available to work"

Americans who have looked for a job, could not find one, and gave up looking out of frustration due to no job being available' yet who is still available and capable of working meets the definition of the word 'unemployed'.

Including them in the calculations for the Unemployment Rate, however, un-desirably elevates that percentage rate. It is politically advantageous NOT to include the number of Americans who are no longer part of the work force.

You can't tell me that looking at the total number of people who have become so frustrated from looking for a job but not finding one that they have finally quit looking does NOT give you an insight to the what's going on in your country.

One thing is definitely shows is that there aren't enough jobs out there to be had. That effects:
- Policy: 93+ MILLION Americans out of the work force and several million more on unemployment - how intelligent, based on what is best for your country and your citizens, is it to in this situation declare millions of illegals - who are not supposed to be in the country and who the law says is ineligible to hold a job - are suddenly authorized to compete for available jobs with those Americans who are out of work?

- Legislation: Politicians often pass legislation without thinking (OR based on special interest group money) often pass legislation that is detrimental to businesses and job growth. Case in point, the ACA mandates on businesses directly resulted in forcing businesses to choose between dropping insurance coverage on their employees (which the waivers helped resolve), fire employees, or cut full-time positions back to part-time jobs (killing middle class people who counted on those full-time jobs). such policy is in no way beneficial for jobs/workers and job growth.

I see you have taken your meds early today...
I'm not the one so traumatized by what is currently going that I had to go back a decade / decades to drag up historical figures to use as a distraction....

Unemployed: "without a paid job but available to work"
Not quite. It's "worked for at least one hour for pay during the reference week or at least 15 hours unpaid at a family business/farm." A job is specifically employment you expect to return to.

Americans who have looked for a job, could not find one, and gave up looking out of frustration due to no job being available' yet who is still available and capable of working meets the definition of the word 'unemployed'.
But they are counted as "Discouraged Workers" and there were 665,000 in October. Not a large number.

Including them in the calculations for the Unemployment Rate, however, un-desirably elevates that percentage rate.
To 5.4% It's published as the U-4.
It is politically advantageous NOT to include the number of Americans who are no longer part of the work force.
Which is more than just the discouraged. It's methodologically unsound to include those not trying to work as part of the labor force. Remember, those no longer part of the work force includes retirees, students and others who don't want/need work.

You can't tell me that looking at the total number of people who have become so frustrated from looking for a job but not finding one that they have finally quit looking does NOT give you an insight to the what's going on in your country.[/qutoe] It does, which is why the U-4 is published.

Yeahbut...those are all McJobs given to Muslims and Mexicans.

Actually, that's not far off from the truth. Either way, crediting the President with jobs figures is largely fraudulent, much like crediting the President with gas prices. Presidents don't really have anything to do with these things. There have been no particular policies that Obama has pushed for that have had any real effect on job creation, neither positive nor negative. Holding off the Keystone XL was a good move, but other than that there's nothing to credit Obama with. What we're seeing is merely the market at work doing what the market does.

As a country, we need to recognize what our economy is, and the fact is that regardless of unemployment numbers our economy remains in peril. Too many new jobs are low paying jobs, inequality continues to increase, overall workforce participation remains low (partially because of retirements, etc, but partly because of work age individuals withdrawing from the workforce). At the moment we're repeating the same mistakes as under the Bush administration. Ignoring the mechanisms under the surface while celebrating superficial numbers will only lead to yet another set-up for another crash.
