it just doesn't matter....
oops.. that's meatballs, not stripes.
They had another one that was pretty good around the same time as Stripes. Private Benjamin with Goldie Hawn.
We have a winner!Best Movie Ever: A Clockwork Orange
More relevant today then when it was made!
The greatest movie of all-time was Baseketball.

And I have no intellect ? Let me guess. You're a Trekkie too ?Both an excellent SF classic and a terrific horror movie, too.
Alien crossed over genres, it was a excellent scifi movie and also an excellent thriller. imho the best scfi and thriller ever made.
I can't believe I'm not getting any love for "Joe vs. the Volcano"...
sheer genius. From the cinematography, to the music..... the writing... it's all there.

Super List. Love it and agree. I would only add 'Raiders Of The Lost Ark."

I can't name just one greatest movie of all time....I haven't seen all the movies, and they keep making more.
One of my all time favorites is The Shawshank Redemption.
But I like odd movies, and I could watch movies like While You Were Sleeping and Con-Air over and over again.
But Sandra Bullock and Nicolas Cage are my favorite actress and actor.
I have a special movie some prolly have never heard of, from 1980...it stars Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, a Victorian time travel movie called Somewhere In Time.
I paid a fortune for that movie when trying to find it!
