Try and find pics of LA Mayor Villaragosa in short sleeves, you won't. Apparently he has all sorts of gang/raza tats.

Ah the illustrious and trustworthy leaders of the sheep.

And people wonder why i want a gun.

Ah the illustrious and trustworthy leaders of the sheep.

And people wonder why i want a gun.

So go buy a gun. Nothing is stopping you.

Doesn't matter if you're an illegal, on our known terrorist list, criminal, mentally ill - nothing is stopping you from buying just anything you want.

Generally, people who have to deal with gun violence want more gun control. This includes mayors as well as most heads of law enforcement organizations.

Some years ago, my 14 year old cousin killed himself with a shotgun. When you come into contact with this kind of tragedy over and over, your opinion of gun ownership is often vastly different than NRA.

I can understand that.

it's the ones that want to force their opinions down my throat that I have a problem with.

If you don't want a gun I don't care neither should you care if I do.

You've never been to my state have you?

Are you saying there is a law that keeps you from having a gun?

What law is that?

Nothing is stopping you except that you have to complete ATF Form 4473, the gun seller/dealer must call in all of the information on the ATF Form 4473 before selling you a firearm, and a background check is performed by the National Instant Background Check System (NICS). The buyer must also provide a government-issued photo ID.

If a firearms buyer lies on ATF Form 4473, he/she is committing a FELONY, punishable by up to FIVE years in prison.

The dealer must then keep all of the information from the Form 4473 on-file for 20 years.

Your lies just don't fly, Ludd. Why don't you just QUIT while you are behind?

That's not entirely true but even so, how does it stop Skull Pilot from buying a gun?

My friend shot and killed himself with a shotgun as well, but because I am a rational human being I don't allow his mental illness to trump common sense, with regards to my own Freedoms or those of anyone else, by allowing my emotions to supersede rational thought.

What is "not entirely true"? I backed you into a corner, beat you over the head with the FACTS about gun purchasing, and this is your whimpering response?

If Skull Pilot is not a convicted felon, not mentally ill, not an illegal alien, and has a valid government-issued photo I.D. and the money, he can purchase a firearm.

It's as simple as that, Ludd.

I bet you don't own a firearm, do you Ludd! I wonder why................:cuckoo:

Someone quite close to me took his life with a shotgun, but that didn't invalidate the Second Amendment.

He was "mentally ill" and he had a gun.

Right.

There are MANY ways to commit suicide. Using a shotgun would be MY first choice. I would probably go with an overdose of some sort of sleeping pills or depressants, or maybe even jump off a bridge.

I guess we should outlaw bridges and all sleeping pills and depressants.

Maybe he doesn't have a photo ID. Good thing he can vote, though.

What law is that?

I'm saying that if I am illegal, a felon, on a terror watch list, or don't have an ID I cannot purchase a gun in my state.

I cannot purchase a pistol without a valid pistol permit.

So you see there are laws preventing some people from buying a weapon.

I thought that was what you wanted.,

He was "mentally ill" and he had a gun.

Right.
He wasn't being treated and he appeared to be just a normal kid. His parents were divorced and he was spending the weekend with his Dad. They had an argument but they seemed to resolve it. That evening a shot was heard and his Dad and a neighbor rushed upstairs to find the boy on the floor with the shotgun beside him. He died on the way to hospital. Was it an accident or suicide? No one will ever know for sure. When this kind of violence occurs it effects so many people. His mother had a nervous breakdown and has never really recovered. His Dad feels he's responsible because the gun was not secured. However, it's not just the immediate family that's effected. It's police officers and ems personnel who have to bottle it all up, the next door neighbors, schoolmates, and teachers. These people are not thinking about 2nd amendment rights. They are thinking if that gun was not there, that boy would be alive today.

I don't think that there are that many people that won't to stop gun ownership. I certainly don't. What most people want is a better method of keeping guns out of the hands of felons and the mentally disturbed, banning weapons and ammunition designed for mass killing, and more emphasis placed on gun safety and securing guns from kids.

Yet another one of Bloomberg's fellow anti-gun Mayors is in trouble..

With a gun yet...

Another Mayor Against Illegal Guns in criminal trouble - Seattle gun rights | Examiner.com

Marcus Hook, Pa. Mayor James “Jay” Schiliro’s name has disappeared from the roster of Mayors Against Illegal Guns after being charged in an incident that allegedly involved firing a handgun and false imprisonment.

Schiliro was one of 600 mayors to sign an open letter to the U.S. Senate earlier this year demanding tougher gun laws.

It is the latest addition to a string of MAIG members exposed in January by the Bellevue-based Second Amendment Foundation as having criminal problems. Recently former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin was indicted on various criminal charges, and he was also a MAIG member according to a 2009 roster. And today, ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was denied leave from jail to see his family before being sentenced to prison for corruption.

SAF’s Alan Gottlieb has says it is public officials “like these guys” that caused him last fall to create “Gun Owners Against Illegal Mayors.”

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Schiliro has vowed to fight the charges, which include “unlawful restraint, reckless endangerment, false imprisonment, official oppression and furnishing alcohol to a minor.” The victim in this case was identified as “a 20-year-old man” whom Schiliro allegedly had Marcus Hook police bring to his house in February.

Schiliro allegedly offered allowed the man to drink wine and then offered repeatedly to perform oral sex on him. When he refused, the mayor then allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired a round into some papers, according to the Delaware County Times.

The newspaper quoted Delaware County District Attorney John Whelan stating that, “The mayor, I believe, has indicated to the press that he has some issues.”

Before this case is finished, Shiliro may have more than just “some issues.” The 38-year-old former boilermaker has entered alcoholism treatment and he is a single father whose 13-year-old daughter was reportedly at home when the incident occurred, the Inquirer said.

Schiliro and Nagin must be presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

You would be happier if he had killed himself with sleeping pills?
