Nice that you go above and beyond what is asked of teachers these days, too few do.

Just talked to daughter yesterday who works for a corporation. If they save money on booking travel, they get gift cards. And not in small amounts.

Meanwhile, we are expected to go "above and beyond" to the point of giving our own food away.

This is why there's a teacher shortage and it will only get worse. And it used to be that you would at least get the gratitude of families, but that's mostly gone too.

The OP will say I'm a hater or whatever but check the stats, everyone. Teaching is unsustainable. Imagine going to any other job where you give YOUR FOOD away and people just assume this is expected.
