ABC News released the rules on Wednesday that both Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris have agreed to ahead of next week’s debate.

ABC News said that Tuesday’s debate — moderated by “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir and “Prime” anchor Linsey Davis — will implement the rulesoriginally agreed upon in May when Trump was going to face President Joe Biden:

  • No opening statements; closing statements will be two minutes per candidate.
  • Candidates will stand behind podiums for the duration of the debate.
  • Props or prewritten notes are not allowed onstage.
  • No topics or questions will be shared in advance with campaigns or candidates.
  • Candidates will be given a pen, a pad of paper, and a bottle of water.
  • Candidates will have two-minute answers to questions, two-minute rebuttals, and one extra minute for follow-ups, clarifications, or responses.
  • Candidates’ microphones will be live only for the candidate whose turn it is to speak and muted when the time belongs to another candidate.
  • Candidates will not be permitted to ask questions of each other.
  • Campaign staff may not interact with candidates during commercial breaks.
  • Moderators will seek to enforce timing agreements and ensure a civilized discussion.
  • There will be no audience in the room.
Harris’ campaign complained in a letter to ABC News, in which they also accepted the debate rules, claiming that Harris was at a disadvantage.

How would this put her at a disadvantage? It’s the template the democrats wanted in the first place.

And Harris demanded this debate remain because it was set when Biden was the candidate (before she was authoritarian-style installed)

But now, we have to change things?

These Democrats are all over the place

Kamla whined about the rules:
“Vice President Harris, a former prosecutor, will be fundamentally disadvantaged by this format, which will serve to shield Donald Trump from direct exchanges with the Vice President,” the letter said. “We suspect this is the primary reason for his campaign’s insistence on muted microphones.”

Kamala better thank God that Trump can't ask her questions about her term in office or detailed policy questions.

Her questions to Trump have all been asked a thousand times already.

I think she’s just trying to play the victim , as usual

Such a Trumper. Dishonest to the core.

"Vice President Harris, a former prosecutor, will be fundamentally disadvantaged by this format, which will serve to shield Donald Trump from direct exchanges with the Vice President,” the letter said. “We suspect this is the primary reason for his campaign’s insistence on muted microphones.”

The Harris campaign added that it only agreed to the rules so that Trump would appear.

Noon news said her campaign accepted the rules so Trump didn't back out. These people are like twelve year olds.
Sure they did. Because Trump was going to step down from anything.

It’s funny to watch powder puffs try to act tough.

Do you believe that?

I don’t think Trump would pass up a public function or debate for almost anything.

This is just a weakling trying to act tough. Harris is whining that she has some disadvantage… why is she whining?

Lol

Does anyone seriously believe Trump won't bring any anyway. That trump will respect any rules?

Lol
Trump has a secret weapon.

What will you do if Trump wins? The lines are already drawn. Will democrats wage the war they have been threatening for years? Will you?

NOW you are going to see that slut sweat on stage. She HAS to speak for specified amounts of time. They are either going to train her to NOT talk like a retard or they have some other sneaky plan to get her through. Just so you are aware, she is GOOD friends with the owner of ABC so I am sure this whole thing is going to be "fixed" like a bad horse race. :stir:

It will be Trump's fault if she goes full Biden in the debate.
