Harvard law professor gloats that thousands of his rich former students will be getting their debts paid off by taxpayers

While what the professor said was misconstrued, I think I read somewhere recently that the median income for lawyers is right at $125K so half of them may see some bennies out of it.
That is half of every lawyer..

This is Harvard Law.

"grads of Harvard Law School snagged median starting salaries of $201,250 in 2021, compared with a national median for law school grads of just $75,000, according to the National Association for Law Placement. "

Welfare for thee, not for me.

Building ramparts of secrecy around a $600 billion-plus coronavirus aid program for small businesses, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin moved from delay to denial in refusing to disclose the recipients of taxpayer-funded loans.

Mnuchin told Congress at a hearing last week that the names of loan recipients and the amounts are "proprietary information." Though he claimed the information is confidential, some lawmakers see the move as an attempt to dodge accountability for how the money is spent.

For all of the intellect of the progs in their superiority agendas, they follow the same ways of near every past nation, civilization and empire that ended up in decline, limping along, civil discourse and extinction. There are people who are poor who vote for both parties. Teh goal to make them less poor. We have changed the rules many times that screwed people over playing by the same. Saying that, it is better to be poor and free, then to be poor and enslaved by tyranny.

Biden's scheme to force soldiers, first responders, and working single mothers to pay off the debts of lawyers seems like a really bad move.

They're laughing at you, Biden voters.

Sorry Biden fought to look after Veteran Soliders earlier this month... Remember the one GQP tried to block...

GQP spent years denying First Responders help...

GQP just show up for parades, cry while singing the anthem and screw them over the next day..

By the way I would shut up about single mothers, your own supporters say there problem was that they didn't keep thee legs together as if a baby is made by on person...

Whats the point...

Do you only want to pay for people with certain hair colours?
In a much poor nation, where would a ditzy Stockholm syndrome stupid ass Prog broad like Whitmer survive? With the inner-city kindred prog voting citizens of Flint or in the rural deplorable voting boondocks? Evil is evil. Prog women are the destruction of the West.

What???

There are programs to help the poor and they can be funded or gutted...

The GOP is about gutting those programs and proclaiming Government doesn't work.

Then ins the next sentence say honour the troops which by its definition is a government program which is paid that taxpayer and offers security to all Americans. That is a social program.

Proof is GOP want socialism more than Democrats... Look at the Presidents (before Biden) the last two GOP President massively increased Government spending over the last two Democratic Presidents...
But it is more on what they spend the money on, Democrats spend it on regular Americans trying to get cheaper healthcare, education,.... GOP spend on Millitary and Corporate tax cuts (which didn't really see much benefit to normal Americans, Corporates loved the profits)...

Lets be clear, US would fall a part without socialism... Socialism is the Police, Fire Dept, Education, Military, Roads, Bridges..... These are paid for by taxes for the benefit of all..

In a series of tweets, the White House highlighted several congressional Republicans — Reps. Vern Buchanan of Florida, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania, and Markwayne Mullin and Kevin Hern of Oklahoma — who it said had six- and seven-figure PPP loans forgiven as part of a federal program intended to help those harmed by the coronavirus.

Like many of their GOP colleagues, the lawmakers have blasted Biden over his student loan decision.

Greene, who said on Newsmax that “it’s completely unfair” for student loans to be forgiven, had $183,504 in PPP loans forgiven, according to the White House.

Kelly, who tweeted that Biden's move was poised to benefit “Wall Street advisors” at the cost of “plumbers and carpenters,” had $987,237 forgiven, the White House said.

Buchanan, who according to the White House had more than $2.3 million in PPP loans forgiven, tweeted that Biden’s move was “reckless” and a “unilateral student loan giveaway.”

Under Biden's student debt plan, borrowers who earn less than $125,000 a year, or $250,000 for couples who file taxes jointly, will be eligible for up to $10,000 in debt cancellation. Pell Grant recipients, who make up the majority of student loan borrowers, will be eligible for an additional $10,000 in debt relief, for a total of $20,000.

The Paycheck Protection Program was promoted in 2020 as offering loans that could be forgiven if the companies spent the money on business expenses. The requirements for federal student loan forgiveness have been much more stringent over the years.

The White House also highlighted criticism and PPP loan forgiveness amounts from Mullin (more than $1.4 million) and Hern (more than $1 million).

NBC News has reached out to all five lawmakers for comment.

Mullin responded to the White House on Twitter by saying Biden was unfairly targeting business owners for “protecting their employees” during the height of the pandemic.

"We just cut $10k off your student loan. Vote for us in November and we'll cut the rest!"

Not really... This is about debt forgiveness...

These people who are complaining about people, 80% making less than $75k a year (all making <$125k) getting loan forgiveness while they themselves were very happy to stick there hand out and take it when it was coming and for much higher amounts..

If people don't see the rank hypocrisy in this then it is GOP win , if they do it is a Democrat win...
