Has trumps call for unity helped the US heal and come together ? Altered the course of the election ?

I heard it was a trillion.

Okay, $500 million gotten from his dad's estate was exaggerated! It was $400 million plus from his father in today's dollar

Yeah. That "analysis" was debunked long ago.

Right, no one can unite with the democrats. To the democrats they are not held to the same laws they apply to the republicans. There will never ever be any unity where the law is not applied in a fair and balanced manner.
There can be no unity when the goals are so diametrically opposed. Much like the civil war. Democrats want to destroy the republic. Republicans want to preserve it.

Will historians recognise that as a key moment in US political history ?

Will it be seen as a turning point in a fractured nation ?
When trump changed his speaking style and te content of his messagibg did all his followers follow suit and hold out the hand of friendship?

Maybe that will be the big take in American politics from this election.
I can see Kamala and Trump shaking hands in the capitol whoever wins. Warm fuzzies all round.
America becomes an example to the world of civilised discourse.

Taint...you old lying, dog-faced pony soldier!

There can never be a 'coming together' or 'meeting of the minds' in this day and age. Look at these examples to show how a dem or rep win may go...

Ban abortion or no restriction abortion.

Ban guns or don't ban guns.

Open borders or closed borders.

Socialism or capitalism.

Transqueer your kindergarteners or don't transqueer your kindergarteners.

Kid friendly drag shows or no drag shows for kids.

Defund the police and decrease law and order or increase the police and law and order.

Promote homosexuality or don't promote homosexuality.

Legalize all drugs or don't legalize drugs.

Legalize prostitution or don't legalize prostitution. ...and on and on.

In the old days, both parties were not that far apart, bub. Both parties had the same foundational beliefs, but not anymore. That was the era of Tip O'Neill dems, bub. We are in the era of commie dems now. Losing an election was not life or death back then. Nowadays, the 2 parties are polar opposites and losing an election can mean life or death. There can never be a 'coming together' or 'meeting of the minds' in this day and age.

no, she has betrayed the Republican Party and she is out.
let K. Harris choose Nikki Haley
Nikki got 20% of Republican votes from voters who had enough of Trump's antics and gimmicks.

How many of Nikki's 20% won't vote for Trump out of spite?

If Kamala gets elected, the electorate deserves what they get.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, Biden ran in 2020 saying he would unite the country. After four years of Biden, are we united?

Then why did trump call for it ? What was his thinking ?
I think he is trying to carve out a legacy.
He was calling for Republican unity. To democrats, he put his fist in the air and called for Fight Fight Fight.

You should not try thinking. It's not a good look for you.

LIAR. Not in today's dollars, how much did he inherit? ANS: About $40m.
Read the article, it explains it better...and I was wrong, it was not in inheritance alone, but also in tax shelters and trusts and some fraudulent bail out etc schemes, to the tune of $413 million in today's dollar of help and inheritance from his father.

Donald Trump did dream big, he did change the skyline in New York and Atlantic City etc early....something his father never really yearned for.... But he did have many financial woes, kept hidden initially, that his father had to bail him out for...at times, by crooked means.
