However, an orderly deportation of those who are both illegal and either taking advantage of our social safety net, and anyone caught committing a crime would be a good start in clearing up this mess that Harris created by not dealing with the root causes.
Then if illegals who are "law abiding" other than the initial crime of breaking into the United States, and who are not on the dole, were sent home in a gradual process, employers would adjust by paying wages that will attract citizens and legal immigrants.
I won't predict what would happen if legal immigrants were suddenly deported, since no one I know of is recommending that.
