While I may agree with most everything you said, the way you said it sounds more like Republican Talking Points. Not that Republicans believe in those particular things. Their talking points would be "Let him die" and "Feed the poor and they will breed" and "They shouldn't live where there are hurricanes" and "education is for snobs", the style is the same. Fancy words without substance.

Just investing without direction is throwing money away.

Education so you can be successful doesn't address the issue of "what type of education and what's the goal and how do you define success"?

Businesses are making record profits. What we need is not gifts to business, but negotiation. They would rather keep their money here in this country because it's safe. If a business is nationalized in China, it's all over for that business.

Well, we know one thing for sure, there are 3.8 million jobs going unfilled because people lack the skills.

When Obama put out a plan to train people, Republicans mocked him and Rick Santorum said Obama wanting education available for Americans made Obama a snob and he was insulting all those that work hard and don't have an education.

Perhaps some money spent on countering Republican propaganda?

And about our education. Remember, people come from other countries to learn here. All that about our system being liberal and a waste is more tardation from the right. They simply aren't able to learn so they want to tear it down for everybody. But their leaders, like Mitt, want to bring in immigrants with degrees for jobs right wingers aren't qualified for.

Education and moving the poor into the middle class is a key part of a first world nation. You do have a point. I do wish the republican party would moderate some and become more pro-tech, science and infrastructure.

I wish you people would get off the "we need to kill government" thing. Who do ignorant Republicans look to when there is a disaster? Who do they look to when there is an epidemic? And those are the obvious. What about foreign countries setting up computer hackers to undermine business and banks? The list is endless.
