Some nut comes along and shoots up a school, or a church, or a theater or a workplace.

Within hours of the shooting, we find out who this person is, and that EVERYONE in their lives knew they were nuts.

Yest despite that , this person was able to walk into a gun shop, slap down some money, and walk out with a gun.

And every single one of those who have shot up schools, churches, theaters, etc... are THE PRODUCT OF LEFT-THINK. Which is to say, that they are the product of MENTAL DISORDER.

And there YOU are, a product of mental disorder, here to PROMOTE MENTAL DISORDER, CRYING ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF TOLERATING: MENTAL DISORDER.

Newly released August records show that the FBI posted 1.7 million background checks required of gun purchasers at federally licensed dealers, the highest number recorded in any August since gun checks began in 1998. The numbers follow new monthly highs for June (1.5 million) and July (1.6 million), a period which spans a series of deadly gun attacks — from Charleston to Roanoke — and proposals for additional firearm legislation.

What Joe always fails to realize is that it doesn't matter whether a person can legally walk into a gun store and purchase a gun or not. There are over 300 million non-military guns in the hands of private owners in the U.S.
If someone is refused the opportunity to purchase a gun from a store, they can still easily obtain one elsewhere.
Having longer waiting periods, more detailed background checks, or making sure a mentally unstable individual is denied the legal opportunity to purchase a gun legally is not going to prevent a nut from obtaining one.

Every last time we find one of these nuts, they just bought their guns in recent weeks. They didn't have it for years, they didn't steal them, they didn't get them from a friend in most cases.

The more guns out there, the more guns the criminals have access to. That cop in Houston had his gun with him. Why didn't it save his life? Having a gun doesn't always protect you. A person here in my town was shot and killed while he was out for a jog. He probably should have been carrying a gun on him while he was out for his daily run to make sure he could shoot the bastard that shot him. Of course, it is unlikely he even saw the person that shot him, but he still should have been carrying his gun for protection.
