House Democrats on the Homeland Security Committee will not be in McAllen, Texas for the field hearing about the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.

This is the second time Democrats on a House committee are refusing to attend a field hearing at the southern border. Democrats on the Judiciary Committee refused to attend the hearing in Yuma, Arizona that took place in February.

No, it was WORSE. Trump was separating families, keeping the kids and deporting the parents. Then he closed the border letting people pile up on the Mexican side. He has hoping for violence and riots, but nothing he did solved the crisis.

The ONLY thing that stopped the illegal entries was covid. Nobody was trying to get into the country in the midst of the worst pandemic crisis in the world.

You forget that refused to anyone in, and since there were 5 million job openings, the Chamber of Commerce was begging for immigration reform or visa workers to fill these jobs.

According to democrats the hearing is a politicized event without any serious exploration of real solutions. Further they say, the GOP is refusing to approve billions of border aid because the GOP thinks it’s a secret policy problem and not a resource issue. Beyond that the GOP can’t even agree on a partisan bill that would be a virtue signaling DOA exercise in futility. And further further more the costs of the drama production is 30Xs last year’s total travel expenses.
