It's not perfect... But this is how the parties are coming across in this day and age from a economics standpoint.
Republicans = Feudalism
Democrats = Socialism
Libertarians = What America was 150 years ago.
What's changed so much that we can't go by those same laws? Why did we have to add more?It's not perfect... But this is how the parties are coming across in this day and age from a economics standpoint.

well...the problem is that if we could get by, by cutting wood for heat and cooking, growing our own food, using oil lamps for a light source, horse and buggies for.transportation....then we could do what we used to.
You be the judge. I put myself out there so you can. that's the whole point.Be that as it may....I find it amusing that you agreed with me that America was too large and dynamic to be pigeonholed into two parties....but then you turn around and start a thread like this...so either you really don't agree with your own OP, or you're just stirring shit up.

Its spot on. In a voluntary society no man would own another. The south was not a libertarian society it was more of a small government republican type society.
Communism is better than Libertarianism?You are wrong, as usual.
In a libertarian society (the flip side of a communist one), the "societies of equals" will own the weaker human beings.

I agree. What do you think about it?Im sure you can see it like this all you want. I dont think it reflects reality much but the great thing about the United States is we have the freedom to think whatever we want and say it.

Yeah... Was there a law created for that? If there was... Was it necessary?What's changed so much that we can't go by those same laws? Why did we have to add more?
You can have a fur trapper shitting in a river in 1800 with no impact on his closest neighbors a few hundred miles away. You cannot have 8 million people shitting in a river in 2012.

I think that is a fair position.It's not perfect... But this is how the parties are coming across in this day and age from a economics standpoint.

Republicans and Democrats each want the rights and freedoms they approve of and they want to deny the rights and freedoms they don't.
For the most part. I mean I think most Libertarians would agree that issuing a gun permit to someone who shot someone for popping their chewing gum as a bad idea.The Libertarians want everyone to have every right and freedom.
Maybe... I'm actually trying to find ways were the laws back then wouldn't apply now. Or couldn't be applied to new problems. So far... I haven't been successful.That idea might be more than 150 years old but it would serve us well for another 150 years if we'd only let it.
