He'll finish the term, bruised but generally unscathed.
His effectiveness....gonna take a beating.

Well, no president really has a good second term.

The big things Obama accomplished were ending the War on Terror and creating ObamaCare.

He did those mostly in his first term. that's what history will remember him for.

1) Since the War on Teror is over, can we end all of these spying programs then?

You need to see a psychiatrist and then sign up for therapy sessions.

Make sure you tell the doctor you suffer from extreme polarized thinking. Everything in your world is either black or it is white. Tell him you are incapable of self moderation.

To these rw highly conservative Republicans we have on this board, everything that is wrong with the world is due to either Obama, liberals, or Muslims. Makes everything simple I guess, for simple minds.

This turd is really delusional. He claims he was a progressive...and not just a run of the mill progressive, a raving liberal progressive...until...

Until I, a gun owner, was demonized by the Democratic Party, then I woke the fuck up.

great the war on terror is over?

so we just have to suffer it on our home front and watch them turn cities into (shelters inside) for CITIZENS of this country when they hunt down terrorist..

how big of obama

The problem as I see it today is that President Obama's agenda is being stalled and distracted by political opponents who are more concerned about making a point than in actually joining the man to get shit done for the country.

Let's debunk all these so-called scandals:

On Libya, we all knew everything the administration knew on the fourth day after it happened. We now know that Susan Rice was simply repeating talking points given to her by the CIA. But, that still doesn't stop the conspiracy theorists from just making shit up and running with it, even though they're talking out of their asses still.

On the so-called IRS scandal, we have learned that all the teabagger groups that were asked to do a little more paper work ALL got their tax-exempt status. We have learned that it is run by a Bush appointee. We have learned that the President was not involved in what some individuals did at field offices in Ohio and possibly elsewhere.

But that doesn't stop morons from running with the story that says the IRS chief visited the White House 157 times, a story that is false. The IRS chief was cleared to attend 157 different events at the White House, but actually only showed up 11 times in 4+ years.

On surveillance and drones, the President has rightly handed the drone program to the military. He continues to call for modest reforms in order to limit some of the power that the executive branch has been given in recent years. HIs speech on national security a couple weeks ago is a must-see. He's actually calling for less federal government power. Too bad the haters are too busy hating to listen to what the guy is even saying.

We need a lot of construction work to be done in this country. We need immigration reform to pass immediately. We need a restriction on the number of bullets in a cartridge in order to at least reduce the number of deaths when ass holes decide to open fire on little kids. We need tax loopholes to close on people who don't need breaks that 98% of us don't get and new tax loopholes for people who invest in America.

The President was re-elected on these things and he continues to have the support of the majority of the country to get these things done.

Meanwhile, on Bullshit Mountain, they're doing everything in their power to obstruct the will of the people because they can't stand the idea of Obama being perceived as doing a good job.

A Republican President got a national highway system passed and got the St.Lawrence Seaway done, connecting the Atlantic Ocean with the Great Lakes.

Until our Republicans today decide to do work on our behalf instead of just trying to make a point of stalling everything that needs to be done because they don't like Obama, they should be voted out of office in the 2014 midterms.

Enough's enough.

well 48% OF THE PEOPLE voted against Obama so maybe they don't want to JOIN him while he pushes his Socialist visions on us...Representatives are there to do the work of the people who voted for them or that just extends to the Majority winner?...Unlike Democrats who think because they are voted it means they listen TO NO ONE...ObamaCare is good example of they had to pass it for US to see what was in it...and you write all that and then lower yourself with calling people TEABBAGERS...

I vividly recall when the Patriot Act, Fatherland Security and Bush was invading people's privacy conservatives were all on board...have to fight those ragheads. I made the point that it will be interesting to see if you have the same fervor when a Democrat is in the White House and has that power.

It feel on deaf ears...but guess what? Tommy can you hear me, we found a doctor with a miracle cure.

And most of those same STATIST Republicans still support it and the current controversy.

Stop thinking LEFT vs RIGHT, and start thinking UP vs DOWN. With UP being Authoritarian and Down being Libertarian.

Down = Rand Paul (R), Wyden (D)

UP = Mccain (R), Feinstien (D)

20 or maybe 25 years ago, Obama wouldn't have been re-elected solely on the Fast and Furious thing and he definitely wouldn't have been re-elected with the Benghazi debacle.

Now, this man can do whatever the hell he wants and is doing whatever he wants because of 2 things. The first being that the American voter don't know about anything and the second thing is those who do know just don't care.

they elected some JUNIOR SENATOR and expect people to just swoon and let him do what ever dumb idea he has of TRANSFORMING AMERCIA..

all you whiners better just suck it up...you didn't whine when Bush was obstructed, stalled and was down right nasty too with ideas he wanted to do

You didn't see the exposure of everyone's true colors during Rand Paul's Filibuster? It was Statist vs Classical Liberal

Nixon was impeached. Nixon resigned because he knew if it went to the Senate, they would vote to remove him from office. The difference between him and Clinton is that Clinton did not have to resign because he knew if it went to the Senate they would not vote for removal from office. And, in fact, he was acquited. Nixon was impeached for serious crimes against the State, the people, and the democratic process. Clinton was impeached because he lied about having an affair, something 99.9% of all men and women in the US would also do. Clinton was impeached due to partisan politics, not because he committed any serious crime against the American people. Also, the senators, both Republican and Democrat, probably were very aware that as many of them were also philanders, they could easily open up a can of worms if we are going to remove from office everyone who has affairs and lies about it. LOL

Tell ya what..

If you can show me where Nixon was actually impeached, I will leave this board for good.

If neither one of you can't, you both leave for a year.

Is that a deal?

It's true alright. Nixon spared himself the formality and embarrassment of being Impeached by the House. In a bipartisan vote the Articles of Impeachment against Nixon were adopted by House Judiciary Committee on July 27, 1974 and would have gone to the House floor for an up/down vote. Rather than suffer that humiliation he resigned.

Here's the vote.

Analysis of House Judiciary Committee Impeachment Votes

Please show me the House vote passed on the Impeachment of President Richard M. Nixon. Not a committee vote, but a vote by the whole House.

If you can't show such a passed vote, then President Nixon was NOT Impeached.

Are you working on an "Alternate Universe" story? That fits well if you are.

I hadn't thought of it quite that way, but that is well done.

How is Obama corrupt? Obama is vilified by the right wing period. His favorability is always above 50%. The right wing declared war on Obama from day one is what's happened. Corrupt? How so? Nothing he has done rises to the level of Nixon (watergate), Reagan (Iran Contra and over a hundred and fifty felonies in his administration) , Or Bush 2 and his lies about wmd's. Obama may drone attack more, but his murder rate on innocent civilians will never come close to the last administration's.
Hey, what's happening with all the liberals getting banned? Three of them in the last three days.

some people took the time to learn Obama's VIEWS on things before he was elected..
so if he was being vilified that is a reason...just because most of you didn't care about his RADICAL past and pals he was connected with..is your problem
and throwing up past Presidents to make excuses for Obama is another thing you people are good at..most people care about TODAY and what is happening

Obama's radical past. Some accuse him of being a marxist or socialist. Some accused him of being a Muslim. I always ask, if he's a Muslim, how does he manage to pray toward Mecca five times a day and keep it a secret. If he were a radical, socialist, marxist, then why did he appoint so many corporate connected people including republicans to posts? Not one liberal that I know of. Where are the visits to the white house from Chomsky, Chavez, or Bill Ayres? Wall Street gave more money to Obama than they did to McCain. You think the wealthiest people in this country would have allowed Obama to be president if they thought he presented a danger to their well being? And he's proven himself to be very establishment on most matters. We're still doing war for profit. The Bush tax breaks got extended. Corporate America and the Dow is doing very well now and no CEO's or bankers have gone to jail like they would have if we had a Kucinich or other liberal as president. Obama's a radical? I haven't seen him do anything radical or even bold yet.

Exactly. If anything, he has been republican lite.

The reason past Presidents are brought up is because the piss drinkers need to learn the bar they set can and should be applied to all Presidents, past and future, and then their hypocrisy is starkly revealed.

From putting his feet on his desk in the Oval Office to rifling through our phone records to harrassing journalists to the killing of innocents to the number of vacation days, all the wailing and gnashing of teeth over Obama has proven to be utterly hypocritical.

Those you claim took the trouble to learn Obama's views don't even know recent history or much about the Constitution or Executive Orders, so I seriously doubt your claim. They can't even be troubled to read any legislation and instead get all their cues from The Daily Caller, Fox News, Alex Jones, CNS News, Washington Times, Breitbart, or their ass.

Many who hate Obama do so because he has a D after his name. Nothing more. To them, Obama is He Who Can Do Nothing Right, Period. They are the most reflexively self-deluded fools to come down the pike in ages.

That's one seriously fucked up way to behave.

You remind of this guy who used to post over at Yuku.

He claimed to be some sort of author/Journalist who was an expert at world politics. He even used the same avatar you currently use.

He was an ignorant ass who made the same kind of declarative statements as you do, and was just as wrong.

He eventually left the board there because he got tired of being proven wrong on so many levels so many times that he was perpetually butt hurt.

Well, I am not a man. I have no idea why this other person would use a picture of the Esmeralda Cafe in Paris. I made a misstatement, a relatively small one, which you are making a big deal about. I am rarely 'proven wrong' as you suggest.

I've never been on any other poltical board, I don't claim to be a journalist nor do I clam to be any kind of expert at world politics. You are so out and out wrong about everything about me, it's really kind of amusing.

However, I think it pretty clear you are a mean spirited bully. Must feel good to be that . way

That post was to Saigon, not you. Take a look at the headers that you quoted.

And I am not Bully. I call things as I see them and if that seems like I am being a Bully to you, you may be just a little too thin skinned to be on an adult political board. I do have a recommendation for a board that is heavily moderated and Liberals are allowed to make nearly any kind of attack they want while Conservatives are fairly well muzzled as not to hurt the Liberal posters' feelings.

That may be better suited to you.

When you tell someone to either prove a claim they made or leave the board for a year that's bullying. What seems to be the case with most bullies is that they don't realize the things they do are bullying. This I have seen over and over again. Observed mostly, but have experienced sometimes as well. It was a misstatement about Nixon. I suppose you are going to claim you never misstated anything and therefore you have the right to bully others about it. People are not infallible. And if it was such a huge, massive wrong, why are you the only one on this board that bothered to point it out or make any kind of issue about it?

With three and half years remaining for his term, I highly doubt he'll make it to the end before having been forced to resign, Nixon-style.

Before one asks for an Obama Impeachment, let us consider.
Without Obama, we'd have Biden. Do you want Biden? I don't.
If you manage to get both Biden and Obama out, then you'd get Boehner. With him as President, you'd basically have a Harry Reid presidency since he can't get enough of getting rammed by Reid (Reid doesn't even give him the reach-around, that's how much of an ass he is).
