Since June 11, sagging pants have been against the law in Delcambre, La., a town of 2,231 that is 80 miles southwest of Baton Rouge. The style carries a fine of as much as $500 or up to a six-month sentence. “We used to wear long hair, but I don’t think our trends were ever as bad as sagging,” said Mayor Carol Broussard.

while I think no one should be allowed to enter a public buiding with their pants down, arrest is a bit over the top.

Both of my parents were teachers for part of their life. Both believed in corporal punishmrnt. It was not all thst fsr out the door when I started school in September, 1979; and a good nimber of my classmates would have benefitted from it.

you can check by state or town regulations but more and more are passing rules against the low pants. They have different fines and jail time but the point is to end the underwear or crack exposure.

Well if they are going to take this SO seriously, then they need to have a uniform. It is utterly disgusting to put a person in jail because of a clothing fad.
