Huckabee rips critics of 'libido' comment...

The false logic of Huck's sentence is stupid.

What is even more stupid is that it is aimed at a voting group that has shown it will not be insulted without consequences in the ballot box.

Republicans, we can't win elections if our candidates do this.

I like Huck, but I can't support his candidacy if he is going to self-destruct.

What is wrong with birth control? It isn't like your party or the church is going to stop sex.

Don't make me fucking laugh.

Again, for the millionth time, it's not birth control that's the problem. It's forcing other people to pay for the birth control that's the problem.

They know. They also know that Huckabee is 100 percent correct...they do hate women....and that they do promote state supervision of reproduction....

Which is why the need for an artificial construct..they have to create a different discussion in order to *win* the argument.
Least we don't call them sluts..

Sure you do.

And all your interactions with women and regarding women are demeaning and insultig.

Because you hate women.

Huckabee is a candidate for something? Good grief.

I would like to hear a single rightie say outright that they are against birth control being in the health care plan for purely financial reasons and not because of political or religious reasons. Anyone? Didn't think so. Fast& furious, Benghazi, IRS 'scandal', birth control, ... Righties are getting manipulate and pulled along by their nose ring and are to stupid to see the wealthy behind the curtain. Any other issues you righties feel strongly about? Gun rights, freedom, patriotism, ... See any pattern here? Wake the ____ up!!!

Nah.....I love women....like a lot....they have breasts and those are awesome.....not yours mind you, because I don't consider you a real human being. Nobody is that cruel .

Many employers don't pay that stipend. Not to mention it is damn near impossible to get a good plan on your own... which is why so many are being cancelled after ACA came into effect and told them they couldn't sell shit plans anymore.

And a lot of those employers aren't upfront about what their policies do and don't cover.

My health should not be held hostage because my employer is a religious whackjob.

OMG!!!!! You have one of those evil employers who is holding a gun to your head, forcing you to work for him and forcing you to take the company's health plan.

I didn't realize that. Do you want me to call 911 for you?

Most employers are evil.

But that's not my point, guy.

Let's get real, in this economy, most of us are lucky to have jobs, thanks to your Boy Bush fucking it up for everyone.

Now, because unlike EVERY CIVILIZED COUNTRY in the world, we make people work for their health coverage, we end up having people held hostage to crooked insurance companies and crazy employers.

No one should be denied health care becuase their boss believes in a Magic Sky Man.

Here we go again, confusing health care with insurance.

I don't believe there is any evidence of an "evil boss" preventing a person seeing a doctor.

Do these "evil bosses" kidnap their employees and chain them to their workstations?

Someone call 911!!!!!!

"“I'm always flattered when people on the far left manufacture a new version of being ‘offended,’” Huckabee told me. “They can be quite creative in finding something that hurts their feelings.”

" “If the Democrats want to insult women by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, then so be it

"He added: "Our party stands for the recognition of the equality of women and the capacity of women. That’s not a war on them, it’s a war for them.”

"NBC’s Kasie Hunt and CNN’s Dana Bash, who “erroneously tweeted” his remarks “to mean the polar opposite” and had to correct the tweets “because they so totally blew it…and now it’s a scandal?”

"On Twitter, Hunt and Bash both presented the comments about “Uncle Sugar” and “libido” as Huckabee’s view. About half an hour later, Hunt wrote: “To be clear: Huck says DEMS believe ‘helpless without Uncle Sugar”…”

"Bash wrote, “2b clear MikeHuckabee said DEMS insult women…”

They had to admit they deliberately misrepresented his statement.

What's Wrong With Huckabee's Comments?

I don't see a thing wrong with his comments as he's speaking the truth. I've tried seeking a link to the video but have only come up with this @ Mike Huckabee Republican Convention Speech Touts Mitt Romney's Business Credentials

In watching and reading about it, I find myself agreeing with everything he said. The GOP is not conducting a “War on Women” but a “War for Women”. And, when I compare GOP female candidates to Democrat candidates, I find the GOP ones to be smart, clear spoken, and pro-independence for their peers.

And, then comes this:

Donations to Huckabee pour in after Libido comment @ Mike Huckabee Capitalizes On Uncle Sugar Libido Controversy: Would-Be 2016 President Nabs Huck PAC Donations Will this fill coffers for a Presidential run in 2016?

Again the pretense by the woman-hating lefties that what was said was something other than what was said.

Nobody said there was anything wrong with birth control.

Two journalists had to clarify their statements because they misrepresented what was said.

What was said, again, is that DEMOCRATS maintain that women cannot control themselves.

And that is exactly what democrats do.

I know this is a nice try, but this is another bible thumping asshole republican trying to tell other people how to live because he hadn't seen his dick in years under that spare tire.

For the record, it isn't a matter of government providing birth control, it's a matter of birth control being a sensible part of reproductive health.

It would be nice if the politicians stopped pretending they were doctors.

Alright then, just what DOES it take to keep women multiplying like sows? They can't seem to use a bit of self control simply by saying no. Or making the man use a rubber.

Huck did say, in part, ". . . providing for them [women] a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, then so be it.”

I wonder how many of them are Republican. I would suspect many of the evangelical and Mormon women who take birth control and vote Republican are not well pleased, whether they get it privately or publicly.

Another ignorant post trying to put down women of faith! You simply cannot stop your tirades against evangelicals or Mormons. As for the latter, I don't think you will find a single female Mormon who uses birth control.

See, you completely missed the point. Birth Control and women's choices should have NO PLACE in a political speech. He just illustrated the hypocrisy of the GOP, after their bill to require virginal probes before an abortion in Virginia. GOOD GRIEF!

Explain to me why GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY OF PERSONAL CHOICES should NOT have a place in political discourse!!!

It's medicine.

Insurance companies pay for Viagra. Why aren't wingnuts convulsing over that?

Speaking of Viagra, what happens when a Republican takes Viagra?

He gets taller! :eusa_shhh:

Because you're NOT ALLOWED TO OBJECT!

Goodbye freedom of speech. It was fun while it lasted.

That’s not a war on them, it’s a war for them.
- “Uncle Sugar” Huckabee

That kinda reminds me of MessiahRushie's "spirited defense of women."

Rush's Spirited Defense of Women
September 24, 2007
RUSH: Like I have my iPhone or I have my computer. It's not enough for me to be able to use it. I want to know how it works so if something goes wrong I can fix it, or I can describe to the tech what it's doing wrong so he can fix it fast. Women don't care. It better come on when you turn it on, and if it doesn't, there will be hell to pay. There won't be any curiosity about why it doesn't work. There will just be anger.

CALLER: And the women are confused, they're confused. They don't know why they're even doing what they're doing.

RUSH: No, they're not confused at all. They have a plan. They are out to destroy traditional values that have defined this country's greatness. They're angry. They're not confused. They're angry as they can be. They've been left out. They're angry at a whole bunch of things ... they're just enraged, they're angry all the time.

All speech that contradicts progressive beliefs = hate speech and is therefore illegal.

Nice how that works.

You do get that if people don't have health insurance, they don't seek medical attention until something is really, really wrong.

No, wait. Sensible people get that. You are just some kind of retard.

I think it's a little patronizing that Huckabee thinks that he knows what is best for women.

But this is the underlying problem with the GOP stance, that it's not just anti-abortion, but anti-contraception and maybe even anti-equality.
