Issa Sees Need for Special Prosecutor in Russia-White House Investigation

"You're right that you cannot have somebody, a friend of mine, Jeff Sessions who was on the campaign and who is an appointee," Issa said. "You're going to need to use the special prosecutor's statute and office." - D. Issa

well said Mr Issa, a bit of truth long overdue but well said nonetheless!

Issa Sees Need for Special Prosecutor in Russia-White House Investigation...Other Republicans Disagree

Where was a leading Democrat calling for a Special Prosecutor to investigate the Benghazi fiasco?

Well no one can find any evidence of wrong doing but hell's bells full speed ahead. Have an investigation.

I was pissed off enough over the quizzillions of investigations of Benghazi because every R wanted to grandstand instead of getting to the crux of the cover up.

The lies that were told that it was a video. How many thousands of taxpayer dollars were wasted on this?

Ditto for this with some sort of James Bond kinda Russia stole the election bullshit instead of FIX MY FUCKING POTHOLES.

except there was nothing to investigate with Benghazi as Gowdy and Chavetz found out the hard way umpteen times

and gee, nice to see the same Repub efforts to investigate Russian election tampering favoring one of the (read that their) candidates

are you freakin daft?

Four dead Americans including a US Ambassador and there are fools that say there was nothing to investigate. A Special Prosecutor would have been interesting. How many US citizens were killed by the unproven possibility of Russian election tampering?

More than a two-year investigation, encompassing 33 hearings held in congressional investigations and four public hearings, at an estimated cost of $7 million say you're full of shit

A drop in the bucket compared to what a Special Prosecutor costs.

"The new expenditures push the cost of the independent counsel's 4 1/2-year inquiry of the president and first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton to $39.2 million. Starr was appointed to continue the investigation of the Clinton's Whitewater land deal. The probe was expanded in January 1998 to include the Lewinsky matter.Apr 1, 1999

With that total, Starr is closing in on the record for spending by an independent counsel: The $47.4 million spent by Lawrence Walsh on the eight-year investigation of Reagan Administration officials involved in the Iran-contra affair."

Independent probes of Clinton Administration cost nearly $80 million - April 1, 1999

On the bright side, Trump doesn't need to have one of those cloths so that he can wipe a secret illegal server.

that's true, the repubs waste more money on phony 'investigations' than the EPA's budget

Hillary was not responsible for any of those deaths, that's total bullshit as all those investigations proved it

Nutsack, explain to the class HOW Russia could have "hacked" the election? Special pencils that snuck into locked ballot boxes and changed votes? That the blue haired old ladies were really Russian spies?

Seriously Nutsack, lay out a plausible way that Russia actually COULD have hacked out election? :dunno:

You're a fucking nutjob, Nutsack....

Perhaps you can tell me the Republicans were in favor of Lawrence Walsh investigating Reagan for 8 years. You do know that Ken Starr was appointed by AG Janet Reno (D) don't you?

The difference is something actually happened. Four Americans died, and the administration lied about the circumstances.

You want a special prosecutor to.....search for a crime?

A special prosecutor... I wasn't aware that any laws were broken... Perhaps the OP would take a moment and enumerate the crimes for which a "special prosecutor" is necessary?
