The way it is now, Republicans don't even need a pitch. As many voters felt in 2020 "anyone but Trump", many voters are now feeling "anyone but Democrats". Apparently most voters don't like paying high prices for things. Who wooda ever thunk?Low taxes, less spending, less government.
It sounds good on paper, but in practice it’s non sense because it’s either not true or impractical. Republicans say lower taxes, but the only people who benefit from permanent tax cuts from republicans is the wealthy. Less spending and government is a lie because republicans spending ridiculous amounts on defense spending while making the deficit even worse because this spending is coupled with the tax cuts on the wealthy. Trump for his part added 36% to the national debt.
But hey I’ll admit it SOUNDS better on paper to vote for republicans. Democrats have a sloppy message a lot of the time. It doesn’t appealing sometimes. The problem is that Americans are stupid so they just buy into whatever they hear republicans say.
