Ida B. Wells was really the first Rosa Parks, but she doesn't seem to get as much 'air time' as she should.
 
She pushed the anti-lynching federal laws against which the southern congresscritters fought against so strenuously.
 
Parks' experience provided a much better photo op for the Bam.
 
Rosa Parks' protest was carefully orchestrated by the local NAACP, for whom she worked. Her cause was just, but she was no Horatius at the Bridge.
