If you oppose the death penalty than you think an illegal alien cop killer is entitled...

....to free room and board for life at taxpayer expense.

I'm sorry, but that does NOT cut it.

I oppose it for cop killers (who aren't any worse than any other killers) for the same reason I oppose it in all cases.

There is the possibility you might convict the wrong guy, and once you execute him, you can't fix the mistake.

What this guy said, plus, I object to the death penalty on moral grounds.

Execution ends their punishment.

Life in some maximum security prison with no chance of parole extends it.

Obviously I'm not opposed to the death penalty because I truly, seriously, non-ironically want to bring back the old English hang/draw/quarter treason "therapy" for extreme, violently fanatical leftists like Antifa, the entire Obama crowd, etc., etc. It's the most beautiful end to a traitor I've ever heard of.

For those of you sniveling snowflakes too lazy to Google, the "hang/draw/quarter" was actually a series of tortures in which A.) First the victim is strangulation-hanged almost to the point of death and then revived. This is repeated a few times. Then B.) The victim is tied down to a table with a bonfire burning next to it. The executioner takes a glowing hot knife (which cauterizes as it cuts so the traitor can't mercifully bleed to death) and first he cuts off the traitor's penis and tosses it into the bonfire. Next he slits open the traitor's torso, pulls out and DRAWS the intestines through the bonfire while the traitor is still alive and watching his intestines BBQ & blacken. Then finally, mercifully, off comes the head. And C.) After which the body is sliced or "quartered" into four separate segments (though I'm still unclear if the severed head counts as one of the four parts) and each body segment is publicly displayed somewhere as a warning for other potential traitors. What a wonderful thing for someone evil enough to want to destroy their own people & own society which sustained them, for their own arrogant, malicious self-righteous purposes. The pussified, bloodless hang/draw/quarter climax of "Braveheart" doesn't even BEGIN to do justice to the brutality of this very fair punishment.

The point of my post: there is absolutely no form of agonizing death a traitor can experience that could elicit any empathy in me at all. So even in today's society, I'm afraid I'm not going to shed too many tears if a serial killer psychopath is no longer with us, due to a quiet, humane lethal injection.

I'm also not a fan of the death penalty for a whole host of reasons but I would support making prisons less livable...bring back the chain gangs....take away the TVs and the weight rooms and make them work their asses off 7 days a week...and feed them just enough to keep them healthy....

You must hate corrections officers. Otherwise known as law enforcement officers.

If you support the death penalty, then you think that killing innocent people is acceptable, or you think that the police and courts are infallible.

I'm sorry, but that does NOT cut it.

We either kill cop killers or we make them wish they were dead....take your pick...or bury more and more cops....

again, not seeing why a cop's death is worse than anyone else's. They knew the job was dangerous when they took it.

This is a message board dummy not a court of law....you need to ask yourself how much coddling and sweetness you want to give murderers.... murderers that should not even be in the country....if it weren't for open border libs like you that cop may still be alive with his newborn son....

Again, you are making accusations not in evidence... When you have some evidence, get back to me. Until then, this is a guy who tried to shoot his way out of a DUI because he was stupid.

This isn't 1975. We have ways to positively identify people who commit crimes, particularly when DNA or video is evidence.

I can agree that we should have empirical evidence that somebody committed a crime before the death penalty is handed down. But I don't think we should scrap it because of a time when we didn't have undisputed evidence.

This illegal who was busted twice for DUI in our country before, and was deported before, is the killer. Standard police procedure is to call in a license plate before an officer even initiates his warning lights. They found him hiding thanks to other illegal friends of his (who were also deported before) they found the murder weapon, and I'm sure before the court date, they will find gun powder inside the vehicle. He did it. Time to fry him like french fries.

Correction officers are not law enforcement officers like police. They don't have nearly the training and many never even been in a police car. Several people I know are correction officers.

I wouldn't go that far. But I will say that capital punishment does not offer a deterrent. Let's face it, are you worried what's going to happen to you in 15 or 20 years from now? Well neither are murderers.

The death penalty should be carried out within six months of the crime. All appeals should be fast tracked and exhausted in that time. It should be on pay-per-view for anybody to subscribe to, and all proceeds go to the family(s) of the victim(s). In fact it should be a willing family member who gets to twist the petcock that allows the fluid to go into the murderer.

Right. Being in prison is so awful that most of the convicted murderers use every appeal they have to stay alive in prison for as long as possible.

We are already making the Prison system a back-door slavery for big business. It's why we have 2 million prisoners while most of the rest of the industrialized world locks up less than 70,000 people.
We either kill cop killers or we make them wish they were dead....take your pick...or bury more and more cops....

If the cops cannot police the murderers amongst themselves they are ill suited to police society.

WHAT?....:cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

Sure, what I posted was, If the cops cannot police the murderers amongst themselves they are ill suited to police society.

Every police shooting is throughly investigated by the department and in most cases, outside agencies. Very few officers murder anybody. The ones that do are held accountable by their very own department and suffer the consequences.

Somehow I knew at least one of you morons would come in and say something stupid like that.

They are law enforcement officers. Their training is not the same as that of patrol officers. But they are trained for the job they do. Much like Border Patrol officers.

Many of the seemingly gentle practices used in our overfilled prisons have been developed with the safety of corrections officers in mind.

Actually their training is ongoing. Problems happen in the prison system from time to time; situations that are not newsworthy. When they do happen, policies and techniques need to be changed to avoid a similar event in the future.

Law enforcement are people that enforce law. That's not what correction officers do. There may be some who used to be in law enforcement, but it's not a requirement......at least in my state. Over here, all you have to be is a certified peace officer.

Costs ya more to kill 'em than keep 'em darlin'. But if ya need your vengeance ya can pay for it.

The reason it costs so much is because it usually takes at least a decade before the execution is carried out. Carry it out in a few months, it's a huge cost savings.

No but the odds are short that a killers first victim would be a cop...if you think this was his first offense you need to think a bit harder....

I don't guess, I wait until evidence is presented, and you don't have any.

If anything, this guy might have panicked when he was pulled over because Trump is deporting people for minor violations like DUI.

I'm sure. In fact that's why he was illegally carrying a firearm; in case Trump came by to deport him.

And that would accomplish, what, exactly?

It's a stronger deterrent, that's what it accomplishes.

One of the reasons our prisons are full is because it's not much of a deterrent for many people. Our recidivism rate is extremely high in the US. And why not? Three square meals a day plus snacks, a workout room, a library, a pool table, a football field, and a little private room they provide in case your wife wants to start a family. They even allow people to deposit money into your account so you can spend it on things while in prison.

Actor and Hells Angels member Chuck Zito was on Howard Stern telling about his horrible experience in Japan where he spent several months in jail. He stated he couldn't take it anymore. He was about to crack.

After noticing Benjy's bloody lip, Chuck denied responsibility: "I didn't do that!" Chuck changed the subject, telling the crew about the time he spent four months in Japanese jail: "The worst prison in the United States is like a hotel in Japan...over there, you're locked down." Chuck remarked that he was let out of isolation for just one hour a day, and only then in a cage separate from the others: "All the other prisoners were looking at me. They started saying, 'Rock-y! Rock-y! Rock-y!'"

Chuck ZIto Looks Good

That's why other countries have less people in their prison system.

Just like in the vintage movie Cool Hand Luke. That was prison.
