Actually his advisors suggested that he change the day for his campaign rally. Nobody that I know gave a rat's ass what he did and never heard of that famous day, which is an excuse to take another day off.

Several years ago I was sent to Boston to work on a project for my company. Two of the people I was working with were black guys from the local area.
The next day happened to be June 19th, so I asked them if they were planning to work tomorrow, or take the day off because it was Juneteenth?
They both looked at me and said what's Juneteenth?
Having lived previously in Texas for several years I knew about the holiday and explained it to them.

But then again I have only been semi-retired for the past couple years. before then i was working too much to care about holidays I've worked for my self since I was in my early 20's so holidays are meaningless to me
