I have lived in a state with almost all Republican control and I have lived in the US when the Republicans controlled the Executive and Legislative branches of government and at the end of the day there wasn't much different from when the Democrats were in control.

They are both parties of big government.

The Republicans talk a conservative fiscally responsible game but they usually govern the same as the big government Democrats.

The free market has supplied more goods and services than any other system. Capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty in 250 years than the Catholic Church has in 2000 years. Socialism is always and everywhere a gross failure. We see what Democrat rule has brought the US: the worst growth in US history, the most stagnant wages, the least advancement. Life has been hell under Democrats and unfortunately that wont change soon.
