Our GOP friends in congress have spent a total of FIFTY-TWO months investigating Benghazi. The 800 page report now finds NO indictable charges against Hillary Clinton.

For other investigations (and you judge the importance of what prompted the investigations) congress spent:

Republicans launched the investigation with a focus on Hillary Clinton, but Democrats accuse them of using Benghazi as a political weapon, especially after this from comment from Republican leadership.

You can start a whole OTHER thread on THAT topic....but it has little to do with my O/P......The intent was to point out that for the 9-11 investigation where 3,000 people dies, about 1/3 of the time was spent on the inquiry versus the inquiry where 4 people died.

As I've often stated......and I know it seems horrible to "blame the victim(s)"......there is some culpability in Stevens behavior is first often stating that he was well aware of the existing dangers faced by the Benghazi Consulate, while still opting to go there and leaving the relative safety of the Tripoli Embassy. From what I have read, there was no extreme pressing reasons for Stevens to travel to Benghazi with little security in a volatile environment both in Libya and neighboring Egypt.

I think that looking for 'culpability' is the problem from the beginning with Benghazi.

I mention Lebanon because it would have been easy to focus on culpability- but instead Congress chose to focus on determining what went wrong and how to prevent that from happening in the future.

From the beginning in Benghazi it was always about finding something to make President Obama and Secretary Clinton personally culpable.
