There may ultimately be some sporadic violence but I can't imagine it will amount to anything significant.
The Left is going to get the Euro-social Democracy it craves -- no, not pure socialism or communism or Marxism, the Right is helping them by missing the target -- because they have been patient and consistent and excellent at messaging. They've done this slowly and surely. I'd guess within 20 to 25 years we'll be a step or two to the left of modern-day France.

Or maybe you should legalize marijuana again so that Cannabis replaces fossil fuels for energy, petrochemicals for plastic, synthetic pharmaceuticals, trees for paper and construction, and wasteful corn for food and fuel, so that more Americans have jobs in every state making items and equipment for both military and civilian uses, transferring the colossal amounts of wealth on this planet back to rural communities and the working class in general, thus raising the standard of living as each state becomes more independent and free?

Why don't we see liberals fainting in the streets over the "unjust war" over there, breathlessly pleading for something to be done... daily body counts and non-stop demagoguing over the war, like they did with Iraq and Bush? Where the hell is Cyndi Sheehan and Michael Moore?
