Its not about a homogeneous society. It is about a cultural society that we are all absorbed into. A unique American culture. We can live in diverse areas or ethnic areas. Throw block parties,have neighborhood meetings, the whole nine yards. And even talk the home country language and all of that. But when doing business in buisnesses and stores, Even ethnic stores where people speak to each other in the home country language, English is mandatory for people who speak English only. If we follow that we are not Balkanized.
