She will be President, and will appoint someone to be her Vice President, and that person will be the tie breaker in the Senate. If your wildest wet dreams come true for Biden to exit, there would still be a Dem majority in the Senate, as Harris would pick another Dem to be her VP. Whoever is VP is the tie breaker for an evenly split vote in the Senate. Didn't you pay attention in Civics class? Apparently, from what you said in your post, you didn't.

Apparently, you paid as much attention as BackAgain did in Civics class. If the President for whatever reason is removed from office, the Vice President becomes President, and decides who they want to be their VP. If Biden left and Harris took over, she would pick another Dem for VP. And, because of the way they wrote the rules for the Senate, if there is a 50/50 split, the VP (whoever that is) becomes the tie breaking vote. And, chances of Harris picking Pence for VP is slim to none, and slim just left town. Need to see how it worked? Look at what happened when Kennedy was assassinated, Johnson took over as President and because the 25th hadn't passed yet, the Speaker took over as VP (which would end up being Pelosi). Actually, when JFK was assassinated, LBJ became president but there was no Vice President until after the 1964 election.

If LBJ had died before then, the Speaker would have become President. But McCormack was not made Vice President. He remained as Speaker of the House.

Wrong. If he dies or gets impeached and removed, Harris becomes the President. If he is ousted via the 25th, Harris become the Acting President.
