I think (or am beginning to think) that God punishes all the time but most of us are too distracted to see it. I could be wrong. Maybe He saves all punishment for the next realm... you know, like He says to us (or would if we were listening but we aren't)

Go ahead, do whatever you want on Earth. You are made in my image so you know right from wrong (Romans 1) and therefore you are without excuse if you do egregious evil... you cannot say when you are judged "I didn't know.... though I know some of you will"
