Is the Tea Party dead?

If Romney is nominated at the GOP candidate, where is the Tea Party? Can the Tea Party support Mitt Romney? I need a honest answer to a honest question.

The TP died months ago. No one bothered to put up a cross.

Everywhere fiscal conservatives go, everything they do, gets taken over by the damn social conservatives and they fuck everything up.

Why do you think religion, is the main talking point and not the damn economy?

Oh, and congrats to the leftist. The hate they heaped on them, the only people who give a damn about the country, helped to no end.

Absolutely correct on this point. :clap2:

Allow me to make a prediction;

If the libertarians gain any serious ground. The social conservatives will all of a sudden be ok with all sorts of shit, just to change the core message.

gop; toast
reform party; gone
Constitution party; killed in the cradle
Tea Party; dunked

They are dead until Roger Ailes and Fox News decides they are needed again

If Romney is elected you will never hear of the Tea Party again

When was the last time you heard from them?

Why isn't Romney the clear leader?

There are no fiscal conservatives except RP still in the race.

IF the TP had the power, he would be out front.

he's not, b/c the don't.

It's going to come down, again, to who's a bigger bible thumper.

In the real world, out amongst the common working folks, there are many more that can align to many degrees with "tea party " ideas, then what both the Dems mostly but also many Repubs would admit.

People are not happy with ether and the hacks from both sides are to blame, and continue to ignore said fact.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_O'Neill_(cabinet_member)

Paul Henry O'Neill (born December 4, 1935) served as the 72nd United States Secretary of the Treasury for part of President George W. Bush's first term. He was fired[1] in December 2002 for his public disagreement with the administration and became a harsh critic. Prior to his term as Secretary of the Treasury, O'Neill was chairman and CEO of Pittsburgh-based industrial giant Alcoa and chairman of the RAND Corporation.

The right tossed this man in the trash when he tried to talk sense to the Bush team.

Then they crashed the economy and put the US in huge debt

:offtopic:

They didn't exist when Bush was president, plenty complained about Bush and spending, the left only listen to themselves.

Plenty?

Yea, you could load the Tea Party into a minivan when Bush was President

As soon as Obama said he needed to borrow money to stop the economic collapse, FoxNews started to give it 24/7 coverage on how horrible the debt was......even though they never had a single story when Bush doubled the debt
CHENEY: "O'Neill said he tried to warn Vice President Dick Cheney that growing budget deficits-expected to top $500 billion this fiscal year alone-posed a threat to the economy. Cheney cut him off. "You know, Paul, Reagan proved deficits don't matter," he said, according to excerpts. Cheney continued: "We won the midterms (congressional elections). This is our due." A month later, Cheney told the Treasury secretary he was fired."

The tea party polls negative now .

They have been shelved by the republican party for that very reason

pfft

everyone says it's the reps.

In power it's the gops fault.
out of power, it's the gops fault.

the gop has the ultimate power over the dems. thier ability to do evil far outweighs the dems power to give a shit.

seriously, you two are fucking full of shit.

Dems contolled the money. how fucking hard is that to get into your skull? are you so dumb that you think the dems are not fucking shit up on purpose?

Text of S&P?s downgrade of U.S. ratings outlook - Page 2 - MarketWatch

We view President Obama’s and Congressman Ryan’s proposals as the starting point of a process aimed at broader engagement, which could result in substantial and lasting U.S. government fiscal consolidation. That said, we see the path to agreement as challenging because the gap between the parties remains wide. We believe there is a significant risk that Congressional negotiations could result in no agreement on a medium-term fiscal strategy until after the fall 2012 Congressional and Presidential elections. If so, the first budget proposal that could include related measures would be Budget 2014 (for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2013), and we believe a delay beyond that time is possible.

The Tea Party wasn't a grass roots movement, it was a complete artifact of those who fear democracy and believe a government of the wealthy, by the wealthy and for the wealthy is necessary to control the masses.

Don't for a minute believe Romney or Santorum or Gingrich or Paul support the greatest good for the greatest number - that simple idea (i.e. also known as the Golden Rule) is as alien to each of them as is honesty, humility and hard work.

Don't play stupid on us

All that was needed was a routine vote to say the US would not default on our debt and would raise it's arbitrary debt limit in response

The Senate Republicans agreed to extend the limit
It was the Tea Tards in the House who blocked approval and drove us to the brink of default

The fact that the US Congress was willing to bite off it's own nose to spite it's face caused credit agencies to get nervous and lower our rating

Off topic?
The topic is the Tea Party you moron

fyi, you proved yourself wrong.

obama leads the country, the dems control the Senate. obama puts together an economic plan and the dems pass it. The dems won't pass any of obamas plans.

obama and the dems are responsible for the down grade.
