Islamic State: Why Turkey is hesitating to prevent fall of Kobane (+video)

Did you forget the last 20 years with Turkey and the Kurdish PKK in eastern Turkey?

They hate each other as bad as the US hates Iran

Turkey, a NATO ally, should take responsibility for helping to save the town!!!

Leave NATO then! Go fight for ISIS Ergodan!
Syria is not a NATO member

Who is talking about Syria.

Turkey is a NATO member and has one of the strongest armies in the world which could quickly stop ISIS... Ergodan is so devious that the world hasn't realized until now, that he is playing a double game.

Before the Islamist Ergodan took over, Turkey was a reliable good friend, but now it won't have any friends in the world, because when the Kurds are slaughtered in Kobane, Turkey will be blamed and with good reason.

The world will never forget!

Ergodan, don't keep on pretending you are going to help.

You have been fully exposed for what you are!
You are talking about wanting Turkey to attack the Syrian town of Kobane

The civilized world - including myself - is expecting and hoping that Turkey will stop ISIS overunning Kobane!

When Kobane falls there will be the usual massacre and beheading of Kurd prisioners and the women being rape then sold as sex slaves.

Would you be happy with that outcome. Disgusting!
Kobane is on the Turkish border. Over 200,000 residents have already taken the 1 mile walk to the border for safety. The Turks are currently housing and feeding them along with a million and a half other Syrian refugees. There is no reason for residents to still be in Kobane.

Sunni Man, we wont help Kurdish terrorists, they are fleeing from Kobane in woman dresses and they are creating turmoils in Turkiye. Turkiye is really so tolerant country, if they were doing the same in Usa or in Russia or in or in Israel, they would be bombed till they puke blood. This is not our job to save them, there are millions of Kurds around the World, they can go to the Kobane and fight againt ISIS, do we prevent them ? We also offered to create a safe zone for them in Syria but they rejected it with a rating.
The Kurds are a troublesome minority for Turkey.

The more that ISIS kills-off, the fewer to make trouble for the Turks.

If ISIS would have existed in 1915, the Turks would probably have fed the Armenians to ISIS, as well.

Letting ISIS spill the blood and treasure, while Turkey reaps the benefit of a lessening or elimination of a troublesome minority, without getting its own hands dirty.

The time may come when it will become necessary to (a) expel Turkey from NATO and (b) abandon any plans to make Turkey part of the EU.

It's continuing Radical Islam-ization and increasing hostility (hidden, or open) to The West - courtesy of their Prime Minister and his people - seem likely to place Turkey in the Enemy Camp within the next decade or two, unless things change.

Since the times of Ataturk, the Army has always been the ultimate Guardian of the Nation, keeping radicals in line.

If Erdogan gets much further out of hand, the Army may need to step in, once again, assuming that (a) they are still committed to Ataturk's secular republic and (b) they are still capable of intervening.

Otherwise...

It would be a shame to lose Turkey - they have been good friends and true allies in recent decades, until recently - but it will be their choice - not ours - and, if they do end-up going over to The Enemy - it's not the end of the world - merely another painful inconvenience.
Turkey has an army that could squash ISIS, and the US has bases there.

Don't be afraid for Turkey, they have plenty of back up
I'm not afraid OF Turkey.

I'm not afraid FOR Turkey.

I just don't want to see us lose them as an ally.

Something that could happen, should their slow but steady Radical Islam-ization continue unchallenged by their own people.

I lived in Istanbul, and we will never "lose" them as an ally. Saudi Arabia, and Jordan are more likely to be lost than Turkey, and none of the 3 are in danger of being lost. That's just crazy
